ولاية الخرطوم تقع الولاية في وسط السودان يحدها من الجهة الشمالية الشرقية ولاية نهر النيل ومن الجهة الشمالية الغربية الولاية الشمالية ومن الجهة الشرقية والجنوبية الشرقية ولايات كسلا والقضارف والجزيرة.
المساحة: 22.736 كلم مربع.
السكان: 7000000 نسمة.
المحاصيل الزراعية: الخضر والقواكه.
الثروة الحيوانية: يبلغ تعداد الثروة الحيوانية بالولاية 1380500.
بالولاية عدد 1199 مدرسة أساس و 679 مدرسة ثانوية.
