للعزة مذاقها، وللذل ألوانه التي تمتزج بخليط من الحسرة والوضاعة ودنو الهمة وخسة النفس وخيبة الأمل!! وهل هناك عزٌّ إلا بطاعة الله والتقرب إليه؟!
وهل هناك ذلٌ أو هوان إلا بمعصية الله والابتعاد عن أوامره؟!
لقد عايشت أهل الطاعة وأهل المعصية، فوجدت نفسي قد حييت فوق كوكبين غير أنهما على سطحٍ واحدٍ، هو سطح هذه الأرض!! إلا أن الهوة بينهما ساحقة!!

فأهل الطاعة قد عرفوا معالم الطريق إلى الله؛ فنسجوا حياتهم على ضوئه، ولسان حالهم يقول: "عونك اللهم على بلوغ رضوانك" قد طال بهم المسير على الأشواك التي هانت عليهم نظير فوزهم المأمول بيوم المعاد.

أما أهل المعصية فيتخبطون من ظلمةٍ إلى ظلمةٍ، حتى صاروا يلتمسون النجاة في المزيد من التخبط كالسكارى، لا يعرفون معلماً ولا يسلكون للنور طريقاً، قد زادتهم تخبطاتهم حسرات ضاقت منها القلوب، وتحشرجت بثقلها النفوس، ولسان حالهم يقول:

"كيف السبيل إلى المجهول"!!
قد فقدوا كل معاني الأمان بعدما رحلت عنهم بشؤم معصيتهم راحة النفس وهدوء الخاطر، فغلَّفتهم الغفلة برداء من فوق رداء؛ حتى تحول بينهم وبين رؤية أي مصيصٍ من النور الذي قد يأخذ بأيديهم إلى الله تعالى من جديد!!

كل هذا . . وعقارب ساعة العمر لا تتوقف!! فيقترب أهل الطاعة من بلوغ مسيرتهم يحدوهم نداء ربهم: "يا عبادي أن أرضي واسعة فإياي فاعبدون" فترد أفئدتهم قائلة:"يا مقلب القلوب والأبصار ثبت قلوبنا على دينك، يا مصرف القلوب والأبصار صرف قلوبنا إلى طاعتك" .

أما أهل المعصية . . فيزدادون انغماساً في وحل الغواية وذل المعصية ومستنقعات الرذيلة!! قد أفقدتهم الغفلة عقارب ساعات أيامهم المنهارة نقصاً، فسرقت منهم أعمارهم بعدما ألقت في روعهم شعور كاذب بتوقف عجلة الحياة وأن العمر المديد لا يزال يتلألأ أمام أعينهم!!

فتنزل عليهم سياط سكرات الموت لتوقظهم بعدما لا استيقاظ، وتفجعهم بمصير لم يكونوا ليتصوروا فداحة مآله!!

فانظر كيف كان حال أهل الطاعة في دنياهم ممهداً لسعادة آخرتهم.
وكيف كان حال أهل المعصية ممهداً لدمار آخرتهم!!
فاجذب زمام نفسك بقوة عن السير في ركب الغافلين
وأحكم قبضته بحسمٍ للسير قدماً في ركاب الصالحين
وليعد قلبك من غفلته . . فلقاء الخلد في تلك الرحاب
