طفل صغير في الصف الثالث الإبتدائي, كان مدرس المدرسة يحثهم وبقوة
على طاعة الله سبحانه وتعالى على أداء صلاة الفجر, على الاستجابة لله سبحانه وتعالى, وكانت النتيجة أن تأثر هذا الغلام الصغير بهذه الدعوة من مدرسه واستجاب لأداء صلاة الجماعة في المسجد ولكن الفجر صعبة بالنسبة له, فقرر أن يصلي الفجر في المسجد

ولكن من الذي يوقظه؟ أمه؟ لا, والده؟ لا, ماذا يصنع يا ترى؟
قرر قراراً خطيراً, قراراً صارماً, أن يسهر الليل ولا ينام, وفعلاً سهر الليل إلى أن أذن الفجر وخرج إلى المسجد مسرعاً يُريد أن يصلي ولكن عندما فتح الباب وإذا بالشارع موحش
مظلم ليس هناك أحد يتحرك, لقد خاف, لقد ارتاع, ماذا يصنع؟ ماذا يفعل يا ترى؟
وفي هذه اللحظة...وإذا به يسمع مشياً خفيفاً, رجلاً يمشي رويداً رويداً, وإذا بعصاه تطرق الأرض وبأقدامه لا تكاد أن تمس الأرض فنظر إليه وإذا به جد زميله, أو صديقه, فقرر أن يمشي خلفه دون أن يشعر به, وفعلاً بدأ يمشي خلفه, إلى أن وصل إلى المسجد, فصلى ثم عاد مع هذا الكبير في السن دون أن يشعر به, وقد ترك الباب لم يُغلق, دخل ونام, ثم استيقظ للمدرسة وكأن شيئاً لم يحدث, استمر على هذا المنوال فترة من الزمن, أهله لم يستغربوا منه إلا قضية كثرة نومه في النهار, ولا يعلمون ماهو السبب, والسبب هو سهره في الليل, وفي لحظة من اللحظات, أ ُخبر هذا الطفل الصغير, أن هذا الجد قد تـُوفي, مات جد أحمد,

مات هذا الرجل الكبير في السن, صرخ أحمد, بكى أحمد, ما الذي حصل,لماذا تبكي يا بُني, إنه رجلٌ غريب عنك, إنه ليس أباك, ولا أمك ولا أخاك,فلماذا تبكي؟ لماذا يبكي يا ترى؟
فعندما حاول والده أن يعرف السبب,
قال لوالده: يا أبي ليتك أنت الميت !!

قال نعم ببراءة الأطفال قال يا أبي ليتك أنت الميت لأنك لم توقظني لصلاة الفجر,أما هذا الرجل فقد كنت أمشي في ظلاله دون أن يشعر إلى صلاة الفجر ذهاباً وإياباً, وقص القصة على والده,
