السعودية تغرق كل شتاء

غمرت المياه مدينة جدة، غرب السعودية، التي شهدت الخميس امطارا غزيرة، فيما قتل اربعة اشخاص غرقا في منطقة قريبة من مكة المكرمة، وذلك بعد عام على سيول كارثية التي اسفرت عن مقتل 123 شخصا.

واعلن حاكم منطقة مكة المكرمة الامير خالد الفيصل ان السيول المتدفقة جرفت رجلا وثلاثة اطفال في المنطقة.

واضاف ان 200 اخرين تمت اغاثتهم في انحاء مختلفة من المنطقة، بعضهم بواسطة مروحيات الدفاع المدني.

وغمرت المياه عددا من الشوارع الكبرى شرق المدينة المرفئية على البحر الاحمر. وتعطلت عشرات السيارات وتوقفت حركة السير بحسب مراسل فرانس برس.

ولم تعلن السلطات حتى الساعة عن وقوع ضحايا لكن عددا كبيرا من السكان حاصرتهم المياه في منازلهم.

وتزامنت هذه السيول مع بدء عطلة نهاية الاسبوع في المملكة الخميس حيث تهدا الحركة قليلا في المدينة. وافاد مدير شرطة المرور في جدة الجنرال محمد قحطاني عن تسجيل 38 حادث مرور بسبب الامطار في المدينة.

وشهدت المدينة في نوفمبر الماضي سيولا عارمة ادت الى مقتل 123 شخصا وتسببت في خسائر فادحة.

وبحسب حصيلة رسمية فقد الاف السكان منازلهم حيث تهدم 10785 منزلا ودمرت 10850 سيارة.

وامر الملك عبد الله في مايو باحالة عدد من المسؤولين والمقاولين الى القضاء بسبب مسؤوليتهم عن اضرار هذه السيول بحسب تحقيق.

وتمحور التحقيق حول عوامل فاقمت اثار الفيضانات ولا سيما عجز البنى التحتية عن تصريف المياه والبناء العشوائي في المدينة ومحيطها.

وتلت الفضيانات حملة غير مسبوقة على الانترنت لعدد من سكان المدينة الذين شكوا من الفساد ومن اخطاء في خطة التنمية العمرانية للمدينة.
