Midi est le milieu du jour. Le soleil est alors au milieu du ciel au-dessus de nos tetes. Le matin commence quand le soleil se rapproche de nous. Sa lumière luit alors du coté de l'orient et c'est le temps de se lever du lit. La lumière du soleil ne cesse pas d'augmenter jusqu'à midi. Ensuite elle diminue jusqu'au soir jusqu'à ce que le soleil disparaisse. Alors vient la nuit. Quand le soleil est au milieu de son parcours entre midi et le coucher c'est << 4 heures >> .
En hiver la nuit est plus longue que le jour. Mais en été , c'est le contraire de cela car le jour est plus long que la nuit. La journée est composée de 24 heures, l'heure de 60 minutes , la minute de 60 secondes.
Le mois a 30 jours ou 31 jours sauf le mois de février, car il est composé de 28 jours et chaque 4 ans le nombre de ses jours est de 29 jours.
L'année a 365 jours et un quart de jour et elle a 12 mois. L'année est divisée aussi en 4 saisons qui sont le printemps, l'été, l'automne et l'hiver.
Au printemps la neige fond petit à petit. L'herbe verte pousse, les fleurs poussent dans les champs et les jardins. Les arbres se revetent de leurs feuilles et les gros et petits oiseaux s'y réfugient à l'envi avec, dans leur bec, la paille et les branches fines pour la construction de leurs nids.

Après le printemps vient l'été ; c'est la saison de la chaleur et de l'action. L'homme récolte en lui ce qu'il a semé en fait de blé et du reste des céréales. En lui, le soleil fait murir les fruits et la bonté du temps aide l'homme à voyager. Les commerçants vont alors par terre et par mer pour vendre et acheter.
En automne on cueille le raisin, on le presse ou on l'étale sur la terrasse pour qu'il devienne du raisin sec. La terre est préparée pour la culture. Ensuite on laboure, on sème, la pluie commence, la chaleur diminue, l'homme se repose de la fatigue de l'été l'hiver vient. C'est le temps du froid, de la neige et des pluies; les oiseaux se taisent. Les moutons et les vaches restent à l'étable. Le calme enveloppe toute la nature et elle devient comme si elle était dormante. Mais l'hiver est la saison la plus favorable à l'étude et à l'acquisition des sciences

الظّهر هو منتصف النهار . تكون الشمس حينئذ في وسط السماء فوق رؤوسنا. يبتدئ الصباح عندما تقترب الشّمس منّا فيلوح نورُها من جهة الشّرق و هو وقت القيام من الفراش. لا يزال نور الشمس يزداد حتى الظهر ثم يتناقص حتّى المساء إلى أن تغيب الشّمس فيأتي اللّيل . إذا صارت الشمس في نصف مسيرها بين الظهر و الغروب كان العصر.
في الشتاء الليل أطول من النهار. أما في الصيف فبعكس ذلك فإن النهار أطول من الليل. اليوم مؤلّف من 24 ساعة و الساعة من 60 دقيقة و الدقيقة من 60 ثانية.
الشّهر ثلاثون يوما أو واحد و ثلاثون يوما إلا شهر شباط فهو مؤلّف من ثمانية و عشرين يوما. و كل أربع سنين يكون عدد أيامه تسعة و عشرين يوما.
السنة 365 يوما و ربع يوم، و هي اثنا عشر شهرا. و تقسّم السنة أيضا إلى أربعة فصول و هي : الربيع و الصيف و الخريف و الشتاء .
في الربيع يذوب الثلج شيئا فشيئا و يطلع الحشيش الأخضر و تنبت الأزهار في الحقول و البساتين و تكسى الأشجار أوراقَها فتأوي إليها الطيور و العصافير متسابقة و في منقارها القشّ و الأغصان الرّقيقة لبناء أعشاشها.
بعد الربيع يأتي الصّيف و هو فصل الحرّ و العمل ، يحصد الإنسان فيه ما زرع من القمح و باقي الحبوب . فيه تُنضِج الشّمس الأثمار و تساعد جودة الطقس الإنسانَ على السّفر فيذهب التّجار برّا و بحرا للبيع و الشراء .
في الخريف يُقطفُ العنب و يُعصر أو يسطّح ليصير زبيبا. تُهيّأُ الأرض للزراعة ثم تفلح و تزرع. يبتدئ المطر فتخفّ الحرارة و يستريح الإنسان من تعب الصيف.
يأتي الشتاء و هو وقت البرد و الثلج و الأمطار و الزوابع فتُعرّى الأشجار من أوراقها و تسكت العصافير و تبقى الغنم و البقر في الإسطبل و تشمل السكينةُ الطّبيعةَ كلَّها و تصبح كأنها راقدة لكنّ الشتاء أنسب فصل للدّرس و تحصيل العلوم.
