لقد جعل الله سبحانه وتعالى النار لتذكرهم بنار جهنم التي أعدها الله للمكذبين ولتكون لهم متاعا في حلهم وترحالهم خدمة لمعيشتهم ينضجون بها الطعام ويستعملونها في ما يصلح معيشتهم يقول الله سبحانه وتعالى في كتابه العزيز في سورة (أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ (71) أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْشِئُونَ (72) نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِلْمُقْوِينَ).
الصور التي بين يديكم اليوم هي لما يعرف بـ (باب جهنم ).. وهي تسمية تطلق على حفرة تستعر بالنيران بدون توقف منذ 43 عاما على بعد 250 كم من العاصمة التركمنستانية عشق اباد يمكن رؤيتها من على مسافة بضعة كيلومترات.
تكونت الحفرة النارية والذي يبلغ قطرها 100 متر وعمقها نحو 50 مترا إثر سقوط حفارة الغاز الطبيعي أثناء عملها في المنطقة عام 1967 في عهد الاتحاد السوفيتي سابقا، ولم تنقطع عنها النيران منذ ذلك الحين, وقد أصبحت الحفرة النارية محط اهتمام السائحين الأجانب وزوار تركمانستان.
يشار الى ان تركمانستان إحدى دول آسيا الوسطى وإحدى جمهوريات الاتحاد السوفيتي سابقا. تحدها شمالا قزخستان وأوزبكستان وجنوبا أفغانستان وإيران وتطل من الغرب على بحر قزوين. يدين أغلب سكانها بالإسلام ومن أهم مواردها الطبيعية الغاز الطبيعي.
