اكتشاف اول كوكب صخري خارج النظام الشمسي بحجم الأرض


أعلنت وكالة الفضاء الاميركية (ناسا) اكتشاف اول كوكب صخري من خارج النظام الشمسي حجمه قريب جدا من حجم الارض بواسطة التلسكوب الفضائي كيبلر.
وهذا الكوكب الذي اطلق عليه اسم "كيبلر 10بي" يدور على مسافة قريبة جدا من نجمه ما يعني ان شروط الاقامة فيه غير متوافرة لان درجات الحرارة تكون مرتفعة جدا فيه. وهو اول كوكب من بين نحو 50 كوكبا رصد منذ العام 1995 خارج النظام الشمسي، يتمتع بطبيعة صخرية اذ ان الكواكب الاخرى بغالبيتها العظمى غازية.
وقالت الخبيرة في الناسا ناتالي باتالا "ارجح ان تكون الحرارة خلال النهار على هذا الكوكب اكثر من 1371 درجة مئوية!! هذه كفيلة باذابة الفولاذ".
"كيبلر 10بي" هو كذلك الاقرب حجما من حجم الارض مع قطر اكبر بمرة ونصف المرة (1,4 بالتحديد) عن قطر الارض وكتلة تفوق كتلة كوكبنا 4,6 مرات على ما اوضح علماء الفلك العاملون على مهمة كيبلر.
ويدور كوكب "كيبلر 10بي" حول نجمة مشابهة للشمس اطلق عليها اسم "كيبلر-10" في كوكبة الدجاجة على بعد حوالى 560 سنة ضوئية عن الارض (السنة الضوئية توازي 9460 مليار كيلومتر).
واعتبر دوغلاس هادجينز العالم في برنامج كيبلر في الناسا في بيان، ان "اكتشاف كيبلر 10بي مرحلة مهمة في سعينا الى رصد كواكب شبيهة بكوكب الارض".
واضاف "مع ان هذا الكوكب غير قابل لان يأهله البشر الا ان هذا الاكتشاف المثير يظهر ما يمكن ان تكشفه هذه المهمة في المستقبل".
في سبتمبر اعلن علماء فلك في جامعة كاليفورنيا في سانتا كروز اكتشاف كوكب خارج النظام الشمسي صخري على الارجح ويمكن ان تتوافر فيه مقومات الحياة اذ انه يقع على مسافة من نجمه تسمح بابقاء الحرارة على درجات تحافظ على المياه بشكلها السائل.
الا ان علماء اخرين فشلوا في تأكيد هذا الاكتشاف بعدما رصدوا خطأ في تحليل البيانات.
ويعتبر علماء الفلك ان كوكبا من خارج النظام الشمسي يكون "قابلا لان يكون مأهولا" عندما تتوافر فيه مقومات الحياة. الا ان ذلك لا يعني ان البشر سيقيمون فيه بظروف مريحة.
ويجب ان تتوافر عدة عوامل ليكون الكوكب "قابلا لان يأهله الناس" ومن اهمها وجود المياه في شكلها السائل وتمتعه بغلاف جوي على ما قال العلماء.
وعرض اكتشاف هذا الكوكب من خارج النظام الشمسي خلال المؤتمر السنوي لجمعية علم الفلك الاميركية الذي يعقد خلال الاسبوع الحالي في سياتل في ولاية واشنطن.
واطلقت وكالة الفضاء الاميركية التلسكوب كيبلر العام 2009. وسيقوم التلسكوب المجهز باكبر كاميرا ترسل الى الفضاء، على مدى ثلاث سنوات ونصف السنة على الاقل، بمراقبة اكثر من مئة الف نجمة تشبه كوكب الشمس وتقع في كوكبتي الدجاجة والقيثارة. وتقوم مهمته على التفتيش عن كواكب شبيهة بكوكب الارض يمكن ان تتوافر فيها مقومات الحياة في مجرتنا، درب التبانة. الا انه غير مجهز لرصد مؤشرات الحياة مثل وجود الاكسجين في الجوونشرت نتائج هذه الدراسة في مجلة "استروفيزيكال جورنال".
