قصيدة كلما قرأتها اهتزّت مشاعري، من معانيها العميقة و نغمها القوي
فمن هو قائل هذه الأبيات ؟

ماضٍ ، وأعرف ما دربي وما هدفي ..... والموت يرقص لي في كل منعطف

وما أبالي به حتى أحاذره ..... فخشية الموت عندي أبرد الطرف

ولا أبالي بأشواكٍ ولا محن ..... على طريقي وبي عزمي ، ولي شغفي

أنا الحسام ، بريق الشمس في طرفٍ ..... مني وشفرة سيف الهند في طرف

ورب سيل لحون سال من كلمي ..... ورب سيل جحيم سال من صحفي

أهفو إلى جنة الفردوس محترقاً ..... بنار شوقي إلى الأوفياء والغرف

يا دهر ! ماذا من الأيام أطمع ..... في سعودهن ؟ وما فيهن يطمع في ؟

مضى الذين شغاف القلب يعشقهم ..... من الأحبة ، من حولي ، فوا لهفي !

وصرت حقل هشيم غربة وأسىً ..... يجتاحني شرر التحنان والأسف

وا حر شوقي إليهم كلما هجست نفسي ..... ونفسي بهم مجنونة الكلف

إني سئمت هوى الدنيا وزهرتها ..... ومل قلبي ذرا روضاتها الأنف

وقد بلوت لياليها وأنهرها ..... فتىً وحزت لآليها من الصدف

فلم أجد غير درب الله درب هدىً ..... وغير ينبوعها نبعـاً لمغترفِ

فطرت أسعى إليه أبتغي تلفي ..... به ورب خلودٍ كان في تلفِ

والناس تصرخ أجحم ، والوغى نشبتْ ..... والله يهتف بي : أقدم ولا تخفِ
