أعلن تنظيم الجماعة السلفية للدعوة والقتال، الناشط تحت إمرة أبو مصعب عبد الودود واسمه الحقيقي عبد المالك دروكدال، إعدام أحد الرهينتين الفرنسيتين، بعد أن تم قصف الأول من قبل الجنود الفرنسيين في العملية العسكرية التي شنتها القوات النيجرية مدعومة ببعض الجنود الفرنسيين في المنطقة، لتحرير الرهائن. ونقلت مواقع إلكترونية قريبة من التنظيم الإرهابي، في بيان للتنظيم؛ أن ''كتيبة الملثمين'' الناشطة تحت إمرة خالد أبو العباس واسمه الحقيقي مختار بلمختار الملقب بـ ''الأعور'' كانت هي المسؤولة عن عملية اختطاف الرعايا الفرنسيين، في السابع من شهر جانفي الجاري، ونقلت المواقع أن عملية الإختطاف تمت على مستوى أحد المقاهي بالعاصمة النيجرية نيامي، ليقوم بعدها الإرهابيون بالفرار نحو شمال مالي، وبالتحديد بمنطقة ''منكة''، وبحسب ما ورد في البيان المنقول في بعض المواقع القريبة من التنظيم الإرهابي، فإنّ القوات الفرنسية هي من أعدمت أحد الرهائن خلال عمليات القصف التي تمت مباشرتها بعد رصد مكان الإرهابيين عن طريق طائرات الإستطلاع التي حددت مكانهم بالمكان المسمى ''حاسي تكبرت''، وهي العملية التي أسفرت أيضا عن القضاء على إرهابيين اثنين من طوارق النيجر، واحتجاز ستة جنود نيجريين تم إعدامهم فيما بعد، وحسب البيان دائما؛ فإن ''الأعور'' قرّر إعدام الرعية الفرنسي الثاني، بعد أن تعذّر على الإرهابيين مواصلة السير، في ظل التشديد العسكري وعمليات القصف، ليصل عدد الرعايا الفرنسيين الذين تم إعدامهم من قبل التنظيم الإرهابي ثلاثة، يضاف إليهم الرعية البريطاني إيدون داير، في وقت تم إعدام الرعية ميشال جرمانو الفرنسي الجنسية صاحب 78 سنة، شهر جويلية العام 2010، حيث ادعى التنظيم الإرهابي إعدامه بعد أن تدخلت القوات الفرنسية مدعومة بالقوات الموريتانية لتحريره، في وقت يتحدث متتبعون للملف عن وفاة الرهينة قبل انطلاق العملية العسكرية.

وينتظر أن يشعل هذا البيان نار الفتنة في الشارع الفرنسي الذي سيحمل ساركوزي وسياسته المنتهجة في التعامل مع الملف، مسؤولية إعدام الرهينتين الفرنسيتين، خاصة وأنها ليست المرة الأولى التي يستعمل فيها الرئيس الفرنسي القوة العسكرية لتحرير الرهائن، لتنتهي كل عملية بمقتل رعاياه، في وقت يسعى هذا الأخير لتجنّب أي خطإ يعود عليه بالوبال، في الوقت الذي يسعى للمكوث في قصر الإليزيه لعهدة ثانية، مع اقتراب انتهاء عهدته.

وتعد هذه المرة الأولى التي تقدم فيها ''كتيبة الملثمين'' على إعدام المختطفين، حيث جرت العادة لدى هذه الفئة من الإرهابيين، على مساومة الدول المختطف رعاياها، من أجل الحصول على أكبر قدر ممكن من المال، ليتم بعدها إطلاق سراح الرهائن، وهو ما يعرف عن بلمختار الذي بدأ نشاطه في التهريب والبحث عن الربح والثروة السريعين.
