أعلن وزير الداخلية التونسى أحمد فريعة، أن الانتفاضة الشعبية التى أدت إلى إسقاط نظام زين العابدين بن على وما تلاها من أعمال عنف تسببت فى خسائر بقيمة ثلاثة مليارات دينار

(1.6 مليار يورو) للاقتصاد التونسى.

وطبقا للمعلومات الواردة على موقع قناة "سى ان بى سى "عربية أن هذا المبلغ يشكل 4% من إجمالى الناتج المحلى فى تونس الذى ارتفع العام 2010 إلى 39.6 مليار يورو.

وأوضح فريعه أن الانتفاضة الشعبية التى استمرت شهرا أدت إلى خسارة مليارى دينار بسبب تعطيل الأنشطة الداخلية، يضاف إليها مليار دينار بسبب وقف الصادرات.

مشيرا إلى أن النشاط الاقتصادى فى تونس تعطل بشكل كامل ولا تزال غالبية المصارف والمتاجر مغلقة ،مضيفا أن النشاط السياحى الذى يشكل 6.5 % من إجمالى الناتج الداخلى ويوظف 350 ألف شخص توقف بالكامل فى الأيام الأخيرة.
