سوء الخاتمة

الخوف من سوء الخاتمة يدفع المسلم إلى الطاعة ويُجدّد الإيمان في القلب. ولسوء الخاتمة أسباب كثيرة منها: ضُعف الإيمان والانهماك في المعاصي، وقد ذكر النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم لذلك صورًا مثل قوله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم: ''مَن قتل نفسه بحديدة فحديدته في يده يتوجأ (يطعن) بها في بطنه في نار جهنّم خالدًا مُخلّدًا فيها أبدًا ومَن شرب سُمًّا فقتَل نفسه فهو يتحسّاه في نار جهنّم خالدًا مُخلّدًا فيها ومَن تردّى من جبل فقَتَل نفسه فهو يتردّى في نار جهنّم خالدًا مُخلّدًا فيها أبدًا'' أخرجه مسلم.
وقد حدثت في عهده صلّى الله عليه وسلّم وقائع من هذا، فمنها قصة الرجل الّذي كان مع جيش المسلمين يقاتل الكفار قتالاً لم يقاتله أحد مثله، فقال النّبيّ صلّى الله عليه وسلّم: ''أما إنّه من أهل النّار''، فتتبعه رجل من المسلمين فأصاب الرجل جرح شديد فاستعجل الموت فوضع سيفه بين ثدييه واتكأ عليه فقتل نفسه'' أخرجه البخاري.
وأحوال النّاس في سوء الخاتمة كثيرة، سطّر أهل العلم عددًا منها، فمن ذلك ما ذكره ابن القيم رحمه الله تعالى في كتابه (الداء والدواء) أنّه قيل لبعضهم عند موته، قُل لا إله إلاّ الله، فقال: لا أستطيع أن أقولها، وقيل لآخر قُل لا إله إلاّ الله، فجعل يهذي بالغناء، وقيل لتاجر ممّن ألهته تجارته عن ذِكر الله، قُل لا إله إلاّ الله، فجعل يقول هذه القطعة جيّدة، هذه على قدرك، هذه مشتراها رخيص حتّى مات، ويُروى أنّ بعض جنود الملك الناصر نزل به الموت فجعل ابنه يقول له: قُل لا إله إلاّ الله، فقال: الناصر مولاي، فأعاد عليه القول وأبوه يُكرّر الناصر مولاي، حتّى مات، وقيل لآخر: قُل لا إله إلاّ الله، فجعل يقول الدار الفلانية أصلحوا فيها كذا والبستان الفلاني افعلوا فيه كذا، وقيل لأحد المرابين عند موته قُل لا إله إلاّ الله، فجعل يقول عشرة بأحد عشر ويُكرّرها حتّى مات، وبعضهم قد يسودّ لونه أو يتحوّل وجهه عن القِبلة، والعياذ بالله.
