عندما تشتد الخطوب وتضعف العزائم وتخرّ القوى يهجم على القلب شيطان اليأس فيغريه بالإستسلام ويزيّن له سبل الغواية والإجرام فتصير المسلمات إشكالات والمقدمات نتائج فتقع الحيرة ويضطرب الفؤاد وتصير القيم على محك الإختبار والمباديء على كرسي الإنتظار عندها وعندها فقط يدرك الإنسان أن الحياة مليئة بالمتناقضات تفيض من جنباتها معاني الحيرة والوسوسة والإضطراب هناك حيث تتلاشى الحدود الفاصلة بين الحقيقة والخيال وتصير الحياة أمواجا متلاطمة في بحر من الظلمات .. ففي لحظة واحدة تقفز فيها الحياة من كلّ شيء إلى لاشيء ومن اللاشئ إلى كلّ شيء

ترى إلى أي حد يستطيع الإدراك البشري كشف غياهب المجهول والمشي بحذر عند حدود اللامعقول ربما هي أوهام وتخيلات تجعل من الأشباح حقائق ماثلة في دنيا الناس أو ربما هي مناطق لم تزل خفية مظلمة في تلك الأغوار البعيدة من الوجدان البشري لم يحن بعد أوان خروجها .. فلتبقى حيث وضعتها الحياة في كهف من النسيان محكمة أقفاله ترزخ تحت أطنان من المعاني والأفكار!!!.

معنى ذلك أنّ اليأس يحجب عقل الإنسان وقوته المدركة ويجعله مقتنعا بأنّ حياته لا قيمة لها فيسعى لإنهائها وتخليص الناس منها وتخليص نفسه - ايضا - كما يظنّ -من الألم وبعد لحظات من إرتكاب جريمة الإنتحار .. يدرك الإنسان بأنّ حياته هي أغلى ما يملك ولهذا قال بعضهم (الدنيا ساعة .. إجعلها طاعة) وقال آخر : (النفس طماعة .. عودها القناعة)
