في ليلة مهرجان ايفان كابولا وفي 7 تموز تحديدا في ليلة انقلاب الصيف في جورجيا تقوم النساء بالقفز عبر النيران المشتعلة ويسبحن عراة في البحيرات تخليدا لطقس وثني قديم بدافع زيادة الخصوبة ونقاء النسل

الهند
في عيد الالوان في الهند تقوم النساء برمي بعضهن بالالوان التي تدعى " الجولال " لتمجيد قدوم الربيع
يقوم الهنود بهذا التقليد لحمايتهم من امير الفيشونو الذي يقوم بحرق الاشخاص في محرقة كبيرة

اسبانيا
في نهاية شهر اب يجتمع الالاف من الاشخاص لتحاربوا بالطماطم لمدة ساعة متواصلة في عيد يسمى توماتينا وفي كل سنة ياتي 30000 سائح لحضور هذا المهرجان
ويوجد قاعدة واحدة للاحتفال وهي عدم تطور رمي الطماطم الى شجار عنيف حقيقي بين الافراد !

في مهرجان المعاطف يرتدي الاشخاص معاطف من تصميم الحرفين المحلين بواسطة الصوف المحلي للترويج لصناعتهم وهو مهرجان حديث نسبيا

في المدن الارثودوكسية وقبل الاعياد باسبوع يقوم احتفال ضخم يسمى " الملاكمة الحرة " وفيه يتصارع الشباب بدون اي قواعد تبعا لتقليد قديم حيث كان المقاتلون لايتركون الحلبة دون ان يتلطخ جسدهم بالدماء من كثرة الضرب العنيف الذي تلقوه

اليابان
في هذا العيد يجتمع جميع الرجال وتلف خاصرتهم منشفة باستثناء رجل عار تماما يجب البحث عنه لكي يجلب الحظ والسعادة لمن لمسه

تايلاند
كل سنة يدعى 600 قرد لوليمة من الفواكه والخضروات في يوم صيام " راما " بطل رمانيا والذي تقول الاسطورة انه كافى ملك القردة بوليمة مكافئة لتحالفه معه ووقوفة الى جانبه
ويتم تقديم مايقارب 3000 كج من الفواكه لهذه القرود في هذا اليوم

في مهرجان " الجبنة المتدحرجة " يلاحق المتسابقون عجلة من الجبن وزنها 7 كج رميت من اعلى تل ومن يصل اليها اولا يحتفظ بها وهو تقليد يعود الى العصر الروماني

في يوم "رابا داس بيستاس " وفي تخليد لتقليد من العصر البرونزي يتم اطلاق العديد من الخيول البرية في اول عطلة اسبوع من تموز لكي تروض عبر رجال مهرة بدون اي ادوات يدعون " اجارادوريس "

ياتي من جميع انحاء العالم صيادة الصقور لكي يشاركوا في المهرجان الدولي لرياضة الصيد بواسطة الصقور وفي الصورة رجل تركماني يحمل صقره المفترس

ايطاليا
حتى الان لم يعرف سبب هذا المهرجان ولم يقوم به الايطاليون البعض يعتقد بسبب عدم وجود البرتقال في مدينة "ايفيرا" ايطاليا وتقول اسطورة اخرى ان تمرد شعبي حدث في القرن الثالث عشر وخرج المواطنون وقاموا برمي حاكمهم بواسطة البرتقال ومهما كان السبب فالايطاليون مازالوا يستمتعون به حتى يومنا هذا

الولايات المتحدة الامريكية
في مهرجان بدا منذ ثلاث سنوات يقوم سكان مدينة بوسطن بمسيرة تدعى " مسيرة الزومبي " من بوسطن الى ساحة جامعة هارفرد في كامبريج
وقال منظمه ان هدف هذا البرنامج الحصول على وقت ممتع فقط !
