مصر تطلب مساعدات عسكرية أميركية لمكافحة المظاهرات


بعث الرئيس المصري حسني مبارك وزير دفاعه محمد حسين طنطاوي إلى واشنطن طلبا للدعم الأميركي العاجل ضد حركة الاحتجاجات التي تشهدها البلاد بشكل متنام.

ونقل موقع "دبكافايل" -القريب من دوائر الاستخبارات الإسرائيلية- عن مصادر في واشنطن أن المسؤول المصري أطلع الرئيس الأميركي باراك أوباما ومسؤولين سياسيين وعسكريين ومخابراتيين كبار على ما يجري في مصر.

وحذر طنطاوي المسؤولين الأميركيين من أن تأييدهم لاستخدام اليد الناعمة ضد المتظاهرين والاستجابة لمطالبهم، يضر أكثر مما ينفع.

وقال طنطاوي إن النظام سينهار إذا لم يتم اتخاذ إجراءات صارمة بحق المتظاهرين.

كما حذر وزير الدفاع المصري من أن جماعة الإخوان المسلمين التي لم تشارك في المظاهرات، تنتظر الوقت المناسب للمشاركة والاستيلاء على البلاد.

وطلب طنطاوي من إدارة أوباما مساعدة عاجلة من معدات عسكرية حديثة لمكافحة الشغب

أما الرد الأميركي –يقول موقع دبكافايل- فما زال غير معروف، مشيرا إلى أن التقارير بشأن الموقف الأميركي متناقضة.

موقف إدارة أوباما من الوضع الراهن في مصر ما زال غير معروف

وبينما يدعو الأميركيون في العلن إلى إجراء "إصلاحات" في وقت تسعى فيه الحكومة إلى سحق الاحتجاجات، فإن ما يرويه المطلعون في حديثهم الخاص يبدو مختلفا تماما.

ففي حين يبدي المسؤولون الأميركيون والإسرائيليون تفاؤلا بقدرة مبارك على سحق المظاهرات، فإنهم يشعرون بقلق شديد من أن النظام سيكون عاجزا عن البقاء في الساحة، وأن المتظاهرين سينجحون في نهاية المطاف بفرض التغييرات.

قادة عسكريون مصريون وامريكيون يجتمعون في واشنطن
واشنطن (رويترز) - يجري وفد عسكري مصري رفيع المستوى يوم الجمعة في واشنطن محادثات دفاعية مقررة مسبقا حتى بعد سيطرة الجيش المصري على الشوارع لمواجهة الاضطرابات التي تجتاح البلاد.

وقال الكولونيل ديف لابان المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع الامريكية ان الفريق سامي عنان رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة المصرية يرأس الوفد العسكري المصري في المحادثات التي بدأت يوم الاربعاء وتستمر اسبوعا.

وقال لابان انه يتوقع ان تتواصل المحادثات كما هو مقرر لها على الرغم من الاضطرابات وانه لا يعتقد أن المحادثات قد تتأثر.

وفرض الرئيس المصري حسني مبارك حظرا للتجول وأمر القوات المسلحة بدعم قوات الشرطة يوم الجمعة في مواجهة الحشود التي خرجت مطالبة برحيله.
