لاشك أي مسعى انساني منطلقه فكرة، دراسة أي حدث تاريخي دون الاهتمام بالفكرة أو بالأفكار الكامنه وراء أحداثه تصبح غير
مجدية،ولا بمكنها أن تعكس ما تنطوي عليه تلك الأحداث والوقائع من إحساس وقصد وإرادة وعواطف.
والحقيقة التاريخية لا تتوقف في النهاية على الواقع وإنما على المهمة التي نذر الإنسان نفسه لها تجاه ذلك الواقع، وإشكالية مقاربته، من خلال تحديد بعض المفاهيم المعرفية التي تلتقي جميعها في شكل من أشكالها الرافضة للواقع بمعنى التجديد أو الثورة والانقلاب أو العصيان أو الانتفاضة أو الحرب، رغم أنها مصطلحات تتداخل مفاهيمها من جهة إرادة التغيير والعمل لأجله، لكنها تتميز عن بعضها بمحطاتها وسور وقائعها.
والحديث مميزات ثورة نوفمبر1954م، يدعونا للتوقف عند أهم المحطات التاريخية لكفاح الشعب الجزائري،بمقارباتها:
أن ثورة نوفمبر استمدت روحها من التاريخ الإسلامي المجيد بفضل رموز الفكر الإسلامي في الجزائر المعاصرة ،
وضمت جهود الشعب الجزائري النضالية عبر تاريخه الطويل، والنتاج المباشر للحركة الوطنية التي كانت -كما دكرها بيان الثورة في فقرته الأولى، حركة ثورية وطنية واجتماعية في نفس الوقت.. أمر جعل الثورة تسير وفقا منهاج جديد متجدد.
وإضراب الثمانية أيام "28يناير 1957م{ من المحطات البارزة في تاريخ تطور الحركة الثورية الجزائرية نظرا لكونه مرتبطا أوثق الارتباط بتطور القضية الجزائرية في أروقة الأمم المتحدة إذ برهن الإضرابمن خلال الاستجابة الشعبية الواسعة لكل الفئات من طلبة وعمال وفلاحين وحرفيين وفي هذا السياق برز دور الإتحاد العام للعمال الجزائريين الحديث النشأة، و الاتحاد العام للطلبة الجزائريين المسلمين، و اتحاد التجار والحرفيين، وبقدر ما كان ذلك دليلا على احتضان الشعب للثورة بعد أن وضع مؤتمر الصومام الأسس التنظيمية والهيكلية المختلفة التي مكنت الثورة من استقطاب القاعدة الشعبية، كان أيضا رد فعل عنيف على عمليات القمع من التي شنتها حكومة اليسار التي كان يرأسها "غي مولييه"، التي منحها المجلس الوطني الفرنسي كامل السلطات من "تكثيف العمليات العسكرية وزيادة عدد الجنود والاستعانة بقوات الحلف الأطلسي وإنشاء المناطق المحرمة والمحتشدات واللجوء إلى القرصنة الجوية باختطاف طائرة الزعماء الخمسة في أكتوبر ضانة أنها بهذا العمل ستضع نهاية للثورة..الخ" .مازاد من الإصرار الفرنسي على وضع حد للثورة.
الاضراب كان "تطبيقا لقرارات مؤتمر الصومام الرامية الى تصعيد العمل الثوري والسياسي وإشراك كامل شرائح الشعب الجزائري في الثورة ، اجتمع أعضاء لجنة التنسيق والتنفيذ يوم 22 جانفي 1957 في العاصمة ، وبعد عدة اقتراحات اتفق كل من عبان رمضان و العربي بن مهيدي و يوسف بن خدة على تاريخ 28 جانفي 1957 لبدء الإضراب وذلك قبيل فتح ملف القضية الجزائرية في نيويورك ، وأوكلت مهمة التحضير إلى الولايات الستة . فشكلت عدة لجان داخل المصالح والمؤسسات مهمتها التوعية والتوجيه ودعوة السكان للتزود بالمؤونة طوال أيام الإضراب .."،
فالشعب الجزائري من خلال استجابته للإضراب" نسبة الإضراب بلغت 90 في المائة"، سواء في الإدارات والمصالح العمومية الرسمية مثل مصلحة البريد والسكك الحديدية ومختلف أنواع المواصلات أو في الأسواق، عبرفي استفتاء وطني شامل عبر به الشعب عن ثقته المطلقة في جيش وجبهة التحرير الوطني .
واعلان القطيعة النهائية بين النظام الاستعماري الفرنسي وبين كل فرد من أفراد الشعب الجزائري،والظهور أمام العالم أن الشعب الجزائري مصمم على مواصلة النضال من أجل استرجاع استقلاله بقيادة جبهة وجيش التحرير الوطني.
وحقق الانتصار السياسي في المجال الدولي وهو ما كانت الثورة تحرص علي نيله بمناقشة دامت في قضية الثورة الجزائرية لفترة أكثر من عشرة أيام وإصدار توصيات تثبت أن المشكلة الجزائرية من المشاكل التي تنطبق عليها مبادئ الميثاق الأممي.
