يمتلك الجيش اللبناني تسع طائرات عمودية هجومية من طراز غزال التي سبق وان صنعت من طرف مجموعة Aérospaciale قبل أن يطلق عليه اسم EADS ومصنوعة بترخيص من مؤسسة يوغسلافيا سوكو.
الكمية الأولى من هذه الطائرة تم تسلمها من فرنسا عام 1981 ولكنها دمرت عن آخرها وهي جاثمة على الأرض من طرف ميليشيات القوات اللبنانية سنة 1989.
الإمارات العربية المتحدة تقدمت بهبة للبنان تمثل في تعويض تلك الطائرات فوهبت الجيش اللبناني تسع طائرات أخرى من نفس النوع سنة 2007 وقد استخدمت هذه الطائرات في قصف مواقع تنظيم فتح الإسلام الذي كان متخندقا بمخيم الفلسطينيين نهار البارد بشمال لبنان
خواص الطائرة: تستعمل هذه الطائرة في مجالات الاتصالات والاستطلاع والإسناد والحماية ومكافحة الدبابات والمكافحة الجوية
تستخدم محرك من نوع Astazou XIV بقوة 870 حصان، قطر الدوار للمروحيات يصل الى 11 متر طولها حوالي 12 متر
سرعة الدوار هو 387 دورة في الدقيقة
