تحصل المنتخب الوطني المحلي النقاط الثلاث في أول خرجة له في بطولة أمم إفريقيا بالسودان ، حيث حقق فوزا بالأداء والنتيجة على نظيره الأوغندي 2/0 ليعتلي بذلك صدارة المجموعة الأولى التي تضم أيضا المنتخب المضيف السودان الذي فاز الخميس في افتتاح الدورة على تشكيلة الغابون.

وسجل هدفي المنتخب الجزائري كل من عبد المؤمن جابو (د17) و هلال سوداني (د62).
بهذا الفوز, يحتل المنتخب الجزائري المرتبة الأولى برصيد ثلاث نقاط (+2) رفقة السودان (+1) والذي تغلب مساء يوم الجمعة على الغابون بنتيجة (1-0) في اللقاء الافتتاحي للطبعة الثانية للمنافسة.
وسيخوض الخضر مباراتهم الثانية يوم الثلاثاء ضد الغابون, فيما يواجه السودان منتخب أوغندا.
