تعرفوا على أحد أجمل حشرات العالم: سرعوف الأوركيد الماليزي


من بديع صنع الخالق سبحانه وتعالى أن جعل لكل كائن ما يميزه ليستطيع البقاء في بيئته مهما بدى صغيراً وضعيفاً، ولعل أحد أغرب وأجمل طرق البقاء هي قدرة بعض الكائنات على التلون بلون بيئتها ليصعب ملاحظتها من أعدائها أو حتى فرائسها

تستطيع تلك الكائنات تقمص ألوان وأشكال البيئة التي تعيش فيها مهما كانت، لذا تخيلوا معي كيف سيكون الحال لو كانت بيئة هذه الكائنات فائقة الجمال كالزهور، كيف ستبدو طريقة تخفي تلك الكائنات حينها؟

ما تشاهدونها في هذه الصورة هي حشرة هايمانوبيس كورونيتس التي تعد واحدةً من أجمل حشرات العالم، وهي أحد أنواع حشرة فرس النبي (أو السرعوف) واسمها المتعارف عليه هو فرس الأوركيد الماليزي أو سرعوف الأوركيد.
تتميز هذه الحشرة المدهشة بقدرتها على التخفي بألوان فائقة الجمال، وتأخذ أرجلها الأربعة شكل بتلات الأزهار بينما يأخذ جسمها نفس ألوان الزهور المحيطة بها!!

توجد هذه الحشرة في المناطق الممتدة من ماليزيا وإندونيسيا خاصةً غابات سومطرة الاستوائية، حيث تُفضل الأجواء الرطبة الدافئة المتوفرة في تلك المناطق.

صحيح أن شكل سرعوف الأوركيد جميل وأنيق للغاية لكن غذائه لا يتناسب مع أناقته تلك، لأنه يتغذى على الحشرات الصغيرة مثل الذباب بأنواعه والنحل، وتستطيع السرعوفات البالغة أن تتغذى على أي شيء أصغر منها مثل السحالي الصغيرة أيضاً. وتُعد هذه الخاصية ميزة كبيرة للسرعوف في المزارع، لأنه بذلك أفضل وسيلة للتخلص من الحشرات الضارة دون التأثير على النباتات.






لفتت تلك الطريقة الاستثنائية انتباه الصينيين فقام أحد الرهبان في القرن التاسع عشر بابتكار أسلوب قتالي أسماه أسلوب فرس النبي، واستوحى حركاته من طريقة إمساك فرس النبي بفرائسه وطريقة دفاعه عن نفسه!!

من غرائب السرعوف هو أن الذكر يكون أصغر بكثير من الأنثى، وفي حالة حشرتنا تلك يكون الذكر أقل من نصف حجم الأنثى. تستغل أنثى السرعوف هذه الميزة أسوأ استغلال فبمجرد انتهاء موسم التزاوج تقوم الأنثى باقتلاع رأس الذكر وأكله!!
ويظن العلماء أن السبب هو أن رأس الذكر يحوي الكثير من المواد الغذائية الهامة. (ليس عذراً بالطبع )
