مخاوف الأطفال من طبيب الأسنان أسبابها و طرق علاجها

أسباب خوف الأطفال من زيارة طبيب الأسنان
- قلق الطفل من تجربة شيء جديد
- ربط الطفل خوفه من طبيب الأسنان بسبب زيارة سابقة غير محببة له بطبيب الأطفال
- خوف مبني على تجربة أصدقاء أو إخوة للطفل
طرق العلاج
العلاج يتضمن معالجة ثلاثة أقسام وهي الإعداد الجيد و المعالجة الفعلية و الوقاية

- لذا كان هناك أكثر من طفل..فلا تذهب بهم جميعا في زيارة واحدة, حتى لا ينعكس خوف احدهم على البقية..اي طفل واحد كل زيارة

-لا تذهب بطفلك قبل الموعد بفترة طويلة, حتى لا يشعر بالتوتر

-إذا كان الطفل صغيرا..يفضل إحضار لعبته المفضلة معه حتى يلهو بها ويقطع الوقت
أما إذا كان اكبر قليلا, يفضل أن يحضر معه قصة محببة إليه ليقرأها في غرفة الانتظار حتى تلهيه عما يسمع من أصوات ..(في حالة لو اضطررت للذهاب قبل الموعد بوقت طويل)

-إذا دخلت على الطبيب صافحه كصديق لك واسأله عن إخباره وأحواله, واطلب من ابنك أن يصافحه بدوره...وتكون بذلك قد كسرت الرهبة في قلب طفلك إلى حد كبير

-إذا كانت هذه هي الزيارة الأولى لطفلك..يفضل أن تجعل طفلك يتعرف على العيادة وذلك بان تنسق مسبقا مع الطبيب (قبل الموعد عن طريق الهاتف), واخبره ذلك وأوضح له هدفك من وراء ذلك كله: ان تحبب طفلك بالطبيب وبعيادته..

وهنا يكون دور الطبيب بان يعرف الطفل بمحتويات العيادة بشكل مبسط ومحبب وان يكافئ الطفل على حسن التصرف بهدية

- إن لا يكذب كل من الوالدين أو الطبيب على الطفل لان ذلك يؤثر على الثقة المتبادلة بين الطرفين
- يفضل اخذ الطفل إلى طبيب أسنان مختص بالأطفال لأنه عادة يراعي عمر الطفل و درجة نموه وقدراته
