لماذا تنازل مجنون ليبيا عن برنامج أسلحة الدمار الشامل؟

تعرف مواقع الإنترنت صفية فركاش البرعصي، زوجة مجنون ليبيا، بأنها الزوجة الثانية له، وقد ولدت في مدينة البيضاء في شرق ليبيا من قبيلة البراعصة. وكانت تعمل ممرضة حين تعرف عليها المجنون في المستشفى، إثر دخوله في حالة طارئة لاستئصال الزائدة الدودية، في العام 1971، ‬حيث ‬تزوج ‬منها ‬في ‬العام ‬نفسه.‬
في بداية حياتهما الزوجية لم تظهر صفية فركاش في وسائل الإعلام إلا نادراً، لكن في الفترة الماضية، بدأت تقوم بنشاطات مختلفة. وقد أنجبت السيدة الليبية الأولى فتاة واحدة وسبع أولاد. وقالت عنها الصحافية باربرا والترز في مذكراتها، إنها كانت السبب في تسليم زوجها لبرنامج ‬أسلحة ‬الدمار ‬الشامل ‬عام ‬2003 ‬بعد ‬مقتل ‬ابني ‬صدام، ‬"‬عندما ‬طلبت ‬منه ‬أن ‬يفعل ‬شيئاً ‬لحماية ‬أولادهما، ‬بعد ‬أن ‬أصبحوا ‬كباراً ‬كي ‬لا ‬يواجهوا ‬المصير ‬نفسه"‬.‬
كما ‬أخذت ‬نشاطات ‬السيدة ‬الليبية ‬الأولى ‬تكثر، ‬فظهرت ‬في ‬احتفالات ‬ليبيا ‬بالثورة، ‬مع ‬زوجات ‬الرؤساء ‬الضيوف، ‬كما ‬حضرت ‬مؤخراً ‬حفل ‬تخرج ‬فتيات ‬الثورة ‬الليبية ‬من ‬كلية ‬الشرطة ‬عام ‬2010 ‬.‬
وفي منتصف العام 2008 وعلى هامش اجتماع زعماء الاتحاد الإفريقي، الذي جرى في شرم الشيخ بمصر، انتخبت صفية فركاش نائبة لرئيسة منظمة السيدات الأفريقيات الأوائل، مع أنها لم تكن حاضرة في هذا الاجتماع،و لم يسبق أن شاركت في نشاطاته.
وهذا ما يفسر ما جاء في وثائق الدبلوماسية الأميركية السرية، التي سربها موقع "ويكيليكس مؤخراً عن ليبيا، وزعيمها المجنون، أنه "يقود عائلة ثرية وقوية، لكنها منقسمة ومختلة وظيفياً، وتعاني من صراعات". ونقلت الوثائق عن السفير الأميركي في طرابلس، جين كريتز، قوله عن صفية القذافي أنها "تسافر في طائرة مستأجرة في ليبيا، بينما ينتظر موكبٌ من سيارات المرسيدس لنقلها من المطار إلى وجهتها المطلوبة، لكن تحركاتها محدودة، واستضافت مأدبة في مجمع باب العزيزية لمناسبة الذكرى السنوية للثورة، كانت احتفالية وغير مسرفة، ‬وهي ‬تنحدر ‬من ‬مدينة ‬بنغازي ،‬مركز ‬التمرد ‬في ‬شرق ‬ليبيا"‬.‬
