باب العزيزية قاعدة عسكرية جنوب العاصمة الليبية طرابلس وهي المقر الرئيسي للزعيم الليبي معمر القذافي وفيها بيته إلى جانب عدد من الثكنات العسكرية والأمنية حيث ترابط الكتائب التي يقود أغلبها أبناء القذافي شخصيا.ً
وأقيمت هذه القلعة شديدة التحصين على مساحة ستة كيلومترات مربعة في موقع إستراتيجي جنوبي طرابلس لتكون قريبة من جميع المصالح الرسمية في العاصمة وبجوار الطريق السريع المؤدي إلى مطار طرابلس كما تتحدث بعض المصادر أن غرف التحكم بجميع شبكات الاتصالات موجودة في هذه القاعدة.

وتعتبر قاعدة باب العزيزية وفق ما ذكر موقع "الجزيرة" أشد المواقع الليبية تحصينا على الإطلاق فهي محاطة بثلاثة أسوار إسمنتية مضادة للقذائف إضافة إلى ضمها أكثر التشكيلات العسكرية والأمنية تطورا من حيث التدريب والتسليح.

وقد تعرض بيت القذافي في باب العزيزية لهجوم أميركي في نيسان 1986 في عهد الرئيس رونالد ريغن رداً على اتهام الأجهزة الليبية بالتورط في تفجير ملهى ليلي بالعاصمة الألمانية برلين وهو التفجير الذي أدى إلى مقتل وإصابة عسكريين أميركيين.

ورغم إجلاء أسرة القذافي قبيل الهجوم بقليل فإن القنابل التي ألقتها الطائرات الأميركية أدت إلى مقتل ابنة القذافي بالتبني وإصابة اثنين من أبنائه وقد أمر القذافي بالإبقاء على آثار الهجوم على الجدران إلى اليوم حتى تكون شاهداً على الغارة.

وخلال انتفاضة 17 شباط 2011 التي عمت مختلف أرجاء ليبيا تركزت القوات الموالية للقذافي في هذه القاعدة المحصنة وهو ما جعل المراقبين يرون أن باب العزيزية تمثل عاملاً مهماً في مسار هذه الانتفاضة خاصة إذا قرر المتظاهرون اقتحامها.
