ثوار ليبيا يعتقلون جنودا بريطانيين

كشفت مراسلة صحيفة فايننشال تايمز البريطانية عن أسر الثوار الليبيين عددا من أفراد القوات البريطانية الخاصة كانوا في مهمة سرية ادعت بريطانيا أنها تهدف لمساعدة معارضي مجنون ليبيا.
وقالت هلا جابر إن تلك الوحدة المكونة من ثمانية جنود على الأقل تم اعتراضها وهي برفقة دبلوماسي بريطاني صغير بينما كانت تعبر الأراضي التي يسيطر عليها الثوار في شرق ليبيا.
ووفق المراسلة فإن هذا التدخل البريطاني أثار غضب المعارضة الليبية التي أمرت بحبس هؤلاء الجنود في إحدى القواعد العسكرية التي تسيطر عليها.
ويخشى معارضو المجنون استخدام هذا الأخير لأي دليل على التدخل العسكري الغربي لحشد التأييد لنظامه.
وحسب مصادر ليبية فإن الثوار أحضروا أفراد القوات البريطانية الخاصة إلى بنغازي للمثول أمام أحد كبار مسؤولي الثورة السياسيين.
وادعى البريطانيون أنهم كانوا هناك للتعرف على احتياجات المعارضة الليبية وتقديم المساعدة لها.
وأكد مصدر بريطاني اعتقال هؤلاء الجنود, لكنه أضاف أن الدبلوماسي البريطاني الذي كانوا يوفرون له الحماية كان يحاول الاتصال بمعارضي القذافي لتمهيد الطريق أمام زيارة زميل له على مستوى أعلى قبل إقامة علاقات دبلوماسية مع الثوار.

وقد استشاط الليبيون غضبا من هذه الخطوة, وأكدوا أن أحدا لم يقدم دعوة للبريطانيين.
وأُبلغ الجنود البريطانيون من طرف المسؤول السياسي الليبي الكبير الذي مثلوا أمامه أن عليهم أن يذكّروا حكومة ديفد كاميرون بأنها مطالبة أولا بأن تعترف بالمعارضة بوصفها الممثل الشرعي لليبيين قبل الشروع في أية مفاوضات معها.

وأضافت المراسلة أن مسؤولي المعارضة الليبية حاولوا التكتم على الحادث خشية حدوث رد عنيف من جانب المواطنين الليبيين العاديين, إذ قد يبعث مثل هذا الحادث بإشارة خاطئة بأن القوات الأجنبية بدأت بالتدخل فعلا في الشأن الليبي.
وتقول الصحيفة إن المسؤولين البريطانيين أعربوا عن خيبة أملهم من اعتقال هؤلاء الجنود ومن الحرج الذي قد ينجم عن فشل مهمتهم.
ويأتي الكشف عن هذه المهمة بعد نشر تقارير تفيد بأن بريطانيا تستعد لإرسال فريق من المتخصصين -بما في ذلك قوات خاصة- إلى بنغازي في غضون أيام.
ويقوم أحد الخيارات، التي يتم نقاشها بين حلف شمال الأطلسي والولايات المتحدة، على مساعدة الثوار الليبيين عبر إمدادهم بأعداد صغيرة من ضباط الاستخبارات والقوات الخاصة لمؤازرتهم على الأرض.
غير أن مصادر في المعارضة الليبية أكدت أن الثوار وإن كانوا مستعدين للترحيب بفرض منطقة حظر للطيران للحد من تعرضهم لغارات جوية، فإنهم يعتقدون أن وجود قوات غربية في هذه المرحلة قد يأتي بنتائج عكسية.
