رغم أن التقاط صور المطر والطبيعة تحتاج الكثير من الصبر، لكن المصوِّر البريطاني، كريس داتسون (53 عاماً)، لم يتوانَ عن الاستمرار في ممارسة هوايته، حيث قضى عشر سنوات، يخرج للطبيعة في كل الظروف؛ ليلتقط أجمل الصور.

وقالت صحيفة "ديلي ميل" البريطانية: "إن داتسون من قرية "فالينسا" جنوب إنجلترا، قد يقضي شهوراً، قبل أن يلتقط الصورة الملائمة في الوقت المناسب، ومن الصور الرائعة، التقاطه لقوس قزح بعد المطر، وهو يبدو لامعاً في مقدّمة سماء رمادية، وصورة السحب وهي تتجمَّع فوق قمة تل "كولمرز" ببلدة "دورسيت" جنوب إنجلترا، وصورة أخرى لعاصفة تقترب من منحدر "بيرتون" الجبلي، على الشواطئ الجنوبية لإنجلترا".

وعن هوايته يقول: "إنني أحب الذهاب إلى شاطئ البحر في اليوم المشمس، لكن عندما يبدأ الناس في التذمُّر من النشرة الجوية؛ بسبب المطر، أشعر بالسعادة وأنا أتناول الكاميرا، وأخرج".

وعن صوره يقول: "كل صوري ترتبط بالمطر والبيئة التي يشكّلها من حوله، ومنها صورة السماء في لحظة الغروب، وفيها السحب كأنها فوق الرؤوس، والصورة المُذهِلة لساحل "جيورسك" في "ليلورث كوف"، وهو المشهد الذي يجتذب مليون زائر سنويّاً".
