زلزال قوي باليابان وإنذار بتسونامي

ضرب زلزال عنيف بقوة 7.9 درجات على مقياس ريختر اليوم الجمعة قبالة سواحل شمالي شرقي اليابان. وهز الزلزال مباني العاصمة طوكيو، وهرع السكان إلى الشوارع تاركين منازلهم وسط إصدار إنذار بوقوع تسونامي يصل ارتفاعه إلى ستة امتار، وفق وكالة الارصاد الجوية اليابانية. من جهته قدر المركز الجيولوجي الأميركي قوة زلزال اليابان بـ8.8 درجات.
وأدت قوة الزالزال إلى إصدار إنذار من احتمال تعرض سواحل هذه المناطق لموجات مد عال (تسونامي) بارتفاع ستة أمتار وفق وكالة الأرصاد الجوية اليابانية.
ووقع الزلزال في ذروة ساعات العمل، وأدى إلى انقطاع التيار الكهربائي، وإلى اندلاع حرائق وسط توقعات بوقوع خسائر مادية وبشرية.
الهزة قوية جدا ولم يشهدها اليابان من قبل، وإن هناك ضررا كبيرا في المناطق الشمالية.
والأربعاء الماضي قتل شخصان في زلزال عنيف بقوة 7.2 درجات على مقياس ريختر ضرب المنطقة الواقعة قبالة سواحل شمالي شرقي اليابان، الأمر الذي دفع بالسلطات المعنية لتحذير السكان من احتمال وقوع (تسونامي).
ووقع الزلزال قبالة سواحل مدينة سينداي المطلة على ساحل أوفاناتو، وعلى عمق عشرة كيلومترات فقط، وحدد مركز الزلزال على بعد 160 كلم شرق شبه جزيرة أوشيكا في مقاطعة مياغي.

يذكر أن الزلازل تعتبر ظاهرة متكررة في اليابان التي تعد أراضيها من الناحية الجيولوجية واحدة من أكثر مناطق العالم الناشطة على مستوى الزلازل وبنسبة 20% من زلازل العالم التي تتجاوز قوتها ست درجات حسب مقياس ريختر.
