أمواج تسونامي تصل هاواي وأوريغون

قالت وسائل إعلام أميركية إن أولى أمواج تسونامي الناجمة عن الزلزال البحري القوي الذي ضرب السواحل الشمالية لليابان وصلت إلى سواحل كل من ولايتي هاواي وأوريغون الأميركيتين، في المحيط الهادي.
وقالت إذاعة محلية في هاواي إن موجات بعلو ستة أمتار ضربت الساحل الجنوبي للجزيرة وإن أمواجا أخرى أعتى من ذلك تهدد المنطقة.
وأغلقت السلطات الطرق والمحال التجارية داخل الجزيرة حيث يشعر السكان بخوف من تداعيات المد الزلزالي.
وفي وقت سابق صدرت تحذيرات للساحل الغربي بالولايات المتحدة بأسره من موجات مد بحري عاتية قد تضرب المنطقة, كما قال الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الهلال الأحمر إن ارتفاع هذه الموجات الناتجة عن الزلزال الهائل الذي ضرب اليابان تجاوز الآن ارتفاع بعض جزر المحيط الهادي مما ينذر بغمر هذه الجزر كليا.
وتجيء هذه التحذيرات في أعقاب الزلزال العنيف الذي وقع الجمعة قبالة الساحل الشمالي لليابان ولم يشهد هذا البلد مثيلا له منذ 140 عاما، وأسفر حتى الآن عن مقتل 400 شخص.
وقال رئيس قسم الزلازل بمرصد حلوان بمصر أبو العلا أمين محمد تعليقا على هذا الزلزال "أتوقع موجات تسونامي في أغلب الدول المطلة على المحيط الهادئ".
ونقلت وكالة أسوشيتد برس عن مسؤولين قولهم إن مركز تسوماني بدأ يتسع, وأضافت أن تحذيرات صدرت للساحل الغربي من الولايات المتحدة بأسره وكذلك كندا من الحدود المكسيكية إلى خليج تشيغنك في ألاسكا.
ونقلت وكالة رويترز للأنباء عن المتحدث باسم الاتحاد الدولي للصليب الأحمر بول كونيلي قوله "ما يثير قلقنا هو منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادي، حيث البلدان النامية المعرضة أكثر من غيرها للتأثر بهذا النوع من الكوارث".
وشدد على أن هذه الموجات هي في الوقت الحالي أعلى من مستوى "بعض الجزر، ويمكن أن تمر من فوقها وتغمرها".
وتترقب جزيرة تايوان أن يصلها تسونامي في غضون وقت قصير.
كما أصدرت وكالة الأرصاد الجوية في إندونيسيا تحذيرا من وقوع أمواج مد عاتية "تسونامي" على مناطق سولاويزي وبابوا وجزر الملوك الساحلية في شرقي البلاد وقالت الوكالة إن تسونامي قد يضرب هذه المناطق اليوم.
