الوحدة الأولى: الجزائر الموقع والخصائص الطبيعية
o الأطلس التلي: سلسلة جبلية تمتد من الشرق إلى الغرب بمحاذاة الساحل عرضها من 70 إلى 150 كم.
o الأطلس الصحراوي: سلسلة جبلية موازية لسلسلة الأطلس التلي تمتد من الشرق إلى الغرب.
o الحوض: هو سهل تحيط به الجبال أو التلال من عدة جهات.
o الرق: سهل صحراوي مغطى بالحصى مثل سهل تنزروفت.
o العرق: كثبان رملية يتجاوز ارتفاعها 100م مثل العرق الغربي و عرق الشاش
o الشط: هو بحيرات مالحة كونتها الأودية التي تصب في أحواض مغلقة
o السبخة: هي عبارة عن حوض مائي جوفي تسريبي غير ممتلئ بالماء عادة.
o الحمادة: مساحات واسعة تغطيها صفائح جيرية رملية.
o الإقليم: هو منطقة واسعة من سطح الأرض تشترك في عدة خصائص.
o المظهر الهيدروغرافي: خريطة التوزيع الجغرافي للمجاري المائية.
الوحدة الثانية: السكان والتنمية في الجزائر
o الكثافة السكانية العامة: متوسط عدد السكان في الكيلومتر المربع الواحد
o الكثافة السكانية الفعلية: توزيع السكان حسب المنطقة
o الزيادة الطبيعية: الفرق بين معدل المواليد ومعدل الوافيات
o التخطيط العائلي: تنظيم النسل ويكون بتباعد الولادات وتنظيمها
o التوازن الجهوي: التوازن في الاستثمار وعدم التركيز على منطقة واهمال اخرى
o الاستثمار الصناعي: توظيف رؤوس الاموال في مشاريع صناعية جديدة

o بئر بترولي: هو المكان الذي يتم فيه الحفر ومنه يستخرج النفط
o حقل بترولي: مساحة واسعة يضم عدة ابار بترولية
o حوض بترولي: هو اوسع من الحقل يضم عدة حقول بترولية
o الامن الغذائي: قدرة الدولة على انتاج غذائها محليا بصورة دائمة
o الميزان الفلاحي: الفرق بين قيمة الصادرات وقيمة الواردات في المواد الفلاحية
o تكرير البترول: تحويل البترول من مادة خام الى مشتقات اخرى مثل الوقود والزيوت والشحوم
o تمييع الغاز: تحويل الغاز الطبيعي الجاف الى سائل لتسهيل شحنه ونقله
o الصناعة المصنعة: صناعة معدات ووسائل الانتاج
o الميزان التجاري: هو الفرق بين اجمالي الصادرات واجمالي الواردات خلال سنة

o الفيضانات: طغيان الماء على اليابسة بفعل عوامل متعددة
o التصحر: تحول منطقة شبه جافة او شبه رطبة الى منطقة جافة صحراوية
o الانجراف: ظاهرة بيوجغرافية وتعني تدمير واتلاف التربة بفعل عدة عوامل
o زحف الرمال: تحول الرمال من الصحراء الى الاراضي الزراعية بفعل الرياح
