Paris est particulièrement critiqué depuis sa reconnaissance du Conseil national de transition libyen, qui réunit l'opposition au régime du colonel Mouammar Kadhafi, comme seul représentant légitime du peuple libyen.
Concernant les violences dans son pays, M. Kadhafi a affirmé que «ce petit événement» a fait «seulement 150 à 200 morts», pour moitié dans les rangs des forces de sécurité.
La rébellion «sera brisée et tout redeviendra normal», a-t-il ajouté lors de cette interview réalisée dans une tente sur la base militaire de Bab al-Azizia à Tripoli, selon RTL.
M. Kadhafi a également estimé injustifiées les critiques à son encontre aux Etats-Unis et en Europe (http://fr.news.yahoo.com/europe.html). «Mais qu'est ce que j'ai fait pour les décevoir?» a-t-il demandé.
«Je n'ai pas de poste officiel et je ne peux donc pas être critiqué. Est-ce-qu'on critique le reine Elizabeth II d'Angleterre pour sa politique?».
Il a également affirmé qu'à l'avenir son pays ne ferait plus d'affaires avec les pays occidentaux qui «ont conspiré contre nous».
