الشاذلي أنقذ مجنون ليبيا من الموت

كان للدبلوماسية الجزائرية دورا حاسما في إنقاذ حياة مجنون ليبيا في الغارات الجوية التي تعرضت لها العاصمة الليبية طرابلس في سنة 1986، من طرف سلاح الجو الأمريكي في عهد الرئيس الأسبق رونالد ريغن.
المخابرات الجزائرية، توصلت إلى تفاصيل العمل العسكري الذي كانت تحضر له الولايات المتحدة، ضد ليبيا بهدف تأديب المجنون، على خلفية شكوك بضلوعه في أعمال إرهابية، وفي مقدمتها تاريخ الضربة الجوية وتوقيتها.
وكانت مقاتلات أمريكية قد نفذت قصفا على مدينتي طرابلس وبنغازي الليبيتين بعد منتصف الليل في 15 أفريل عام 1986، وذلك ردا على عملية تفجير استهدفت ملهى ليليا في برلين الغربية بألمانيا، وهو التفجير الذي أسفر عن مقتل عدد من الجنود الأمريكيين. ونفذ الهجوم الذي استمر نصف ساعة 18طائرة .
الرئيس الأسبق الشاذلي بن جديد أوفد الرجل الأول في حزب جبهة التحرير الوطني في ذلك الوقت، الراحل محمد الشريف مساعدية، ليبلغ مجنون ليبيا بخطورة ما ينتظره، ويأخذ احتياطاته لتفادي الضربة.
مساعدية تنقل على الفور إلى العاصمة الليبية، والتقى بالمجنون، وأخبره بأن الجزائر توصلت إلى معلومات مفادها أن الرئيس الأمريكي رونالد ريغن، قرر قصف ليبيا وتحديدا القصور التابعة للمجنون في كل من العاصمة طرابلس وعاصمة الشرق بنغازي، وكان من بينها موقع "باب العزيزية " .
العلاقات المتينة التي كانت تربط الجزائر بالاتحاد السوفياتي سابقا، مكنت من التوصل إلى هذه المعلومات الاستخباراتية، كما أن ميخائيل غورباتشوف (الرئيس السوفياتي آنذاك)، هو الذي أطلع نظيره الجزائري على ما كانت تخطط له الإدارة الأمريكية في عهد رونالد ريغن، الذي لم يهضم الاستهزاءات المتكررة لمجنون ليبيا من الولايات المتحدة، من خلال عبارته الشهيرة "طز في أمريكا".
الاستثمار الأمثل للمعلومات، التي قدمتها الجزائر لمجنون ليبيا ،كان سيجنب سقوط العشرات من الضحايا، غير أن المجنون استغل المعلومات التي قدمتها الجزائر في تأمين شخصه وعائلته فقط، دون أشخاص آخرين سهل عليه التضحية بهم.
المجنون قام بتغيير مكان إقامته ليلة 15 إلى 16 أفريل 1986 من قصره في باب العزيزية إلى مكان آخر في سرية تامة، مرفوقا بأبنائه من صلبه وأقرب مقربيه، في حين تعمّد ترك بنته بالتبني وعدد من الأشخاص، ليقضوا تحت رحمة القصف الأمريكي، ويخرج بعدها المجنون أمام العالم ليقول بأنه فقد بنته بسبب العدوان الأمريكي، في محاولة لاستعطاف العالم وحمله على استنكار ما قامت به واشنطن.
