وكشفت مصادر بوزارة البترول أن الوزير الأردنى يبحث أيضاً مع الجانب المصرى ضرورة استمرار تزويد محطات الكهرباء الأردنية بالغاز المصرى، وأكدت المصادر أن مصر سوف تستأنف عمليات ضخ الغاز المصرى للأردن وإسرائيل اعتباراً من غد الجمعة.


وأكدت المصادر بوزارة البترول، والتى رفضت ذكر اسمها، أن الحكومة المصرية أبلغت الحكومة الأردنية بأن استمرار ضخ الغاز المصرى إلى المملكة مرهون برفع السعر من خلال اتفاقية جديدة بين الطرفين، خاصة وأن 80% من الطاقة الكهربائية المستهلكة فى الأردن تعتمد على الغاز المستورد من مصر.


ويتوقع محللون ومراقبون أن تطرأ تغييرات فى عمليات ضخ الغاز المصرى، نتيجة لسياسات الحكومة المصرية الجديدة برئاسة الدكتور عصام شرف، انطلاقاً من اعتبارات سياسية ومالية تتعلق بعملية مراجعة أسعار توريد الغاز المصرى، والتى قدرها الخبراء بـ "البخسة".


وكانت السلطات الأردنية قد قدرت خسائرها من انقطاع الغاز الطبيعى الآتى من مصر بـ 4 مليون دولار يوميًا، كما تشير تقارير إسرائيلية أعلنت أن قيمة الغاز الذى قامت مصر بتصديره لإسرائيل تصل إلى 510 ملايين دولار.


وكانت شركة الغاز المصرية (أى.إم.جى) قد أعلنت عن انتهاء العمل فى إصلاح أنبوب الغاز الذى جرى تفجيره فى سيناء فى خضم أحداث ثورة 25 يناير.


وكانت الحكومة المصرية قد تعرضت لهجوم شديد ونقد بسبب انخفاض أسعار توريد الغاز المصرى، سواءً إلى إسرائيل أو باقى الدول الست المستوردة، خاصة الأردن، والتى اعتبارها المراقبون الأكثر استفادة من غيرها من انخفاض أسعار الغاز المصرى.
