تطوير مهارات الأطفال الدراسية

خطط لتنظيم بيئة ووقت للدراسة في المنزل، وشارك طفلك في التخطيط كي يعرف تمامًا ما هو متوقع منه.

ساعد طفلك على تطوير مهارات تنظيمية، إذْ يحتاج كثير من الأطفال إلى المساعدة في معرفة كيف ينظمون أنفسهم. وتعامل مع المهارات التنظيمية واحدة واحدة، بما يجعل طفلك أقل ارتباكًا مما لو حاول إتقان المهارات دفعة واحدة.

فكّر وطفلك بتطوير قائمة من المواد التي يحتاج إليها في دراسته المنزلية، وعلّقها في مكان واضح، ثم اطلب إليه أن يراجعها يوميًا.

صمّم نظامًا تتحقق فيه بصورة دورية من ملفات طفلك وأعماله المدرسية. اطلب إلى طفلك أن يطلعك على كتبه المقررة كي تستطيع مشاركته فيما يتعلم في المدرسة، والواجبات المنزلية التي عليه إنجازها، ... ، وهكذا.

عزز حبّ القراءة في منزلك؛ وذلك بإغلاق جهازي التلفاز والحاسوب، وتخصيص ليلة للقراءة، مرّة كل أسبوع على الأقلّ.

اجتهد في تحسين أساليب التذكّر لدى طفلك؛ بالبحث عن ألعاب تتطلّب منه ذاكرة جيدة.

ساعد طفلك على صنع بطاقات عرض، وخرائط ذهنية، ولوحات، وقوائم، ورسوم كي يتعلّم المصطلحات والحقائق الرئيسة.

انتبه جيدًا لأيّ انخفاض في علامات طفلك المدرسية أو إنجازاته، محاولاً اكتشاف أسباب ذلك قبل تفاقم المشكلة.

اكتشف نقاط الضعف الأكاديمية لدى طفلك، واستعمل العصف الذهني لمعرفة الطرائق التي تجعل التعلم الأكاديمي متعة كبيرة لديه.

تعلّم عن أنماط التعلم، كي تساعد طفلك على التمييز بين أنماط التعلم القوية والضعيفة لديه.

خصص وقتًا للدراسة في منزلك كلّ ليلة.

كن مثالاً يُحتذى لطفلك بصفتك متعلّمًا مدى الحياة، واستمرّ في تعلّم أشياء جديدة، ولا تنس مشاركة طفلك في هذه الأشياء الجديدة، وكن نموذجًا له في عملية التعلم.

شجع طفلك على تعليم ما يعرفه لطفل آخر أصغر منه أو أكبر؛ إذْ يُعمّق ذلك إحساسه بقوة قدراته.
