ويكيليكس: رئيس اليمن مهتم بالثراء

"الرئيس اليمني علي عبد الله صالح مهتم بإثراء عائلته أكثر من اهتمامه باتخاذ قرارات إستراتيجية لمستقبل اليمن". هذه العبارة وردت في ملخص برقية دبلوماسية صادرة من السفارة الأميركية في العاصمة اليمنية صنعاء بتاريخ 23 ماي2005 عن اجتماع غير رسمي مع شخصية يمنية.
وتعمد موقع ويكيليكس الذي سرب البرقية شطب اسم الشخصية اليمنية المذكورة في البرقية في جميع المواقع التي ورد فيها لأسباب أمنية وقانونية.
وتقول البرقية إن السفير الأميركي في صنعاء توماس كراجيسكي اجتمع بشكل غير رسمي مع الشخصية اليمنية، التي أبدت تشاؤمها من طريقة الرئيس في إدارة البلاد.
الشخصية اليمنية قالت إن صالح يصبح أكثر عزلة يوما بعد يوم وأقل استماعا للنصائح التي تسديها له بعض الشخصيات العملية والتقدمية في الحكومة اليمنية. البرقية علقت على هذه التصريحات بالقول إن السفارة الأميركية قد استمعت بالفعل إلى هذا النوع من الطرح من عدة شخصيات في الحكومة اليمنية.
كما ادعت الشخصية اليمنية –بحسب البرقية- أن الرئيس صالح مهتم فقط بإثراء عائلته وعلى وجه الخصوص قائد الجيش الشمالي علي محسن الأحمر(الذي يعتبر ثاني شخصية متنفذة في اليمن)، وأن صالح لا يستمع إلا إلى نفسه ويتمتع بثقة غير واقعية بأنه يتخذ القرار الصائب على الدوام.
يذكر أن الأحمر انشق على الرئيس صالح مؤخرا وانضم إلى حركة المعارضة التي تنشط في اليمن مطالبة بتنحي الرئيس صالح عن الحكم.
وصبت الشخصية اليمنية جام غضبها على ما وصفته بـ"فساد صالح وأسرته"، وأعطت مثالا على التكاليف المفزعة التي رصدت للاحتفال بالذكرى الخامسة عشرة للوحدة يوم 22 ماي (أي قبل يوم من تاريخ كتابة هذه البرقية) والتي وصلت إلى 300 مليون دولار أميركي، سيذهب جلها إلى جيوب المسؤولين الذين أشرفوا على ترتيبات الاحتفال.
البرقية تعلق على ما قالته الشخصية اليمنية بالقول "إن الشخصية اليمنية ليست هي الأولى التي تنقل لنا مثل هذا التقييم المتشائم لأداء الرئيس صالح وأعوانه".
وتضيف البرقية أن السفارة تستقبل بوتيرة متصاعدة تلميحات وتذمرا من شخصيات أخرى (موقع ويكيليكس حرص هنا أيضا على محو أسماء الشخصيات التي ذكرت في هذا الموضع).
وتقول البرقية إن إحدى تلك الشخصيات أخبر السفير الأميركي مؤخرا أنه ينوي ترك العمل السياسي لأن الرئيس صالح لم يعد يستمع إلى نصائحه.
وأشارت البرقية إلى شخصية أخرى قالت إنها ورغم انتفاعها المادي من "الأعمال والصفقات المشبوهة" التي يتورط فيها صالح، فإنها تنوي ومجموعة من السياسيين والبرلمانيين تكوين جبهة للضغط على الحكومة باتخاذ إجراءات لمكافحة الفساد وخطوات إصلاحية أخرى.
