وقال قاسم (http://www.dzayersport.com/vb/tags.php?tag=%DE%C7%D3%E3) خلال الاجتماع الذي جمع الجهاز الإداري باللاعبين بفندق الحماديين أنه كان "من بين اللاعبين اللذين رفعوا أرجلهم عن الميدان في مواجهة مولودية العاصمة " وقال "نعم تعمدت اللعب أدنى إمكاناتي وتعمدت أيضا تضييع ركلة الجزاء (...) و أنا أطلب وثائق تسريحي لأرحل نهائياً ".

و من جانبه ، أكد جمال مناد مدرب شبيبة (http://www.dzayersport.com/vb/tags.php?tag=%D4%C8%ED%C8%C9) بجاية (http://www.dzayersport.com/vb/tags.php?tag=%C8%CC%C7%ED%C9) صحة التصريح الذي أعلنه اللاعب قاسم، مؤكدا أن أحد اللاعبين (دون أن يسميه) كشف عن خيانته للفريق في المواجهة أمام مولودية العاصمة، وهو أمر خطير جدا.

ونفى جمال مناد الأخبار المتواردة عن إمكانية تراجعه عن الاستقالة التي كان قد قدمها عقب الإقصاء من كأس الجمهورية، مؤكدا أن قيادته للتشكيلة في مواجهة اتحاد عنابة الثلاثاء لم تغير من موقفه شيئا.

وقال مناد "لن أتراجع عن استقالتي، فمواجهة عنابة هي الأخيرة لي على رأس النادي وهو ما أبلغته مجلس الإدارة التي قدمت لها الاستقالة كتابيا".
