الشوكولاطة والحلويات بشكل عام، قنابل سكريّة موقوتة... لكنّ تناول قطعة حلوى تحتوي على 200 سعرة حرارية، لن يسبب زيادة الوزن بشكل أكبر مما قد يسببه تناول 200 سعرة حرارية من الفاكهة!


وأوضح توماس كونراد مدير معهد أبحاث التمثيل الغذائي في ألمانيا هذه المعادلة قائلاً: "يتوقّف الأمر على مقدار الطاقة التي يستهلكها الجسم... لن أصبح بديناً إذا قمت بحرق سعرات حرارية أكثر من تلك التي تدخل جسمي، بكل بساطة".

وبناءً على هذا، تلعب الحركة الكافية دوراً مهماً للحفاظ على الرشاقة، وعلى وزن صحي. وأضاف الخبير الألماني المتخصص بالغذاء، أنّه إذا مشينا 15 كيلومتراً يومياً؛ لاستطعنا أن نأكل ما نريد، ولن يزيد وزننا أبداً. فالأمر برمته يقوم على معادلة بسيطة من الجمع والطرح.


كما هو شائع، تصنّف الحلويات كأحد المسببات الرئيسية للبدانة، على عكس الفاكهة... الجسم يقوم أساساً بتمثيل الغاتو بشكل مختلف عن التفاحة. فالسكريات الموجودة في الكربوهيدرات قصيرة السلسلة، وتعمل على رفع نسبة الأنسولين فى الدم. وهنا يوضح كونراد: "في حال الارتفاع المستمر لنسبة الأنسولين فى الدم، لن يتمكن الجسم من استخراج الكربوهيدرات المخزنة من الخلايا مرة أخرى؛ لهذا تستقر السعرات الحرارية في منطقة الأرداف".

و ان تناول الكثير من السكريا يصعب عملية حرق الدهون على الجسم. وتلك المشكلة لا يواجهها سوى الأشخاص الذين يمارسون الحركة بقدر ضئيل أو الذين لا يمارسونها على الإطلاق. وعلى العكس من ذلك، يُسمح لمن يمارسون الرياضة ويتبعون نظاماً غذائياً متوازناً، بتناول بعض الحلوى من حين لآخر من دون أدنى قلق. فحين تأكلين بشكل معتدل وتمارسين في المقابل مجهوداً جسدياً كافياً، من خلال رياضة العدو أو السباحة أو المشي... عندها لن تقلقي على زيادة وزنك بشكل مفرط.


ويؤكد كونراد أن التغذية المتوازنة هي التي تعتمد على الكربوهيدرات طويلة السلسلة، مثل تلك التي توجد في المعجنات والخضراوات والخبز والبطاطا؛ حيث تمتاز هذه النوعية من الكربوهيدرات بأنها ترفع نسبة السكر في الدم لكن بشكل بطيء.
