إيران تشكو البحرين لمجلس الأمن

طالبت إيران مجلس الأمن الدولي بحماية نشطاء المعارضة في البحرين ووقف ما دعته قمع النظام للشعب البحريني، في حين اتهمت وزيرة الخارجية الأميركية هيلاري كلينتون طهران بأنها تحاول استغلال الاضطراب في الشرق الأوسط لتقويض الاستقرار بالمنطقة.
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء الإيرانية الرسمية أن وزير الخارجية الإيراني علي أكبر صالحي بعث برسالة للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بان كي مون جاء فيها أن "إيران لا يمكن أن تقف مكتوفة الأيدي أمام ما يحدث في البحرين لأن الوضع يمكن أن يخرج عن نطاق السيطرة إذا استمر الوضع الحالي".
وحذرت الرسالة من أن "التداعيات في البحرين ستؤدي إلى زعزعة استقرار منطقة الخليج وسيؤثر هذا بالطبع على العالم".
واشتكى صالحي من أنه "في حين تدخّل مجلس الأمن في دول عربية أخرى مثل مصر وليبيا فإن المجلس بدا متجاهلا وغير مكترث تجاه مقتل المحتجين وقمع حقوق الشعب البحريني".
وحث صالحي -حسب الوكالة- بان كي مون على العمل الجدي والفوري لوقف قتل شعب البحرين، معتبرا أن قمع البحرينيين وصل لمراحل لا يمكن تخيلها بما في ذلك مداهمة المنازل واختطاف أفراد وتدمير مساجد وتسريح موظفين وعمال وإعاقة الحياة الروتينية للبحرينيين.
وكان صالحي قد اشتكى للأمم المتحدة الشهر الماضي بشأن دخول قوات سعودية البحرين في إطار قوات أخرى من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وقال إن الرياض تستخدم الاحتجاجات في البحرين "ذريعة للتدخل".
