الإثيوبي جبري سيلاسي يسجل رقما قياسيا جديدا

أحرز العداء الإثيوبي هايله جبريسيلاسي صاحب الرقم القياسي في سباق
الماراتون، المركز الأول في سباق نصف ماراثون فيينا الأحد بالعاصمة
النمساوية في مشاركة الأولى بعد عدوله عن قرار الاعتزال.
وقطع جبريسيلاسي مسافة السباق البالغة 21.1 كيلومترا في ساعة و19 دقيقة،
مسجلا رقما قياسيا جديدا لسباق نصف ماراتون فيينا، ومحطما الرقم السابق
الذي سجله المغربي محمد الهاشمي عام 2009 وهو ساعة و53 دقيقة.
وأعلن جبريسيلاسي أنه يحلم بإحراز الميدالية الذهبية لسباق الماراثون في
أولمبياد لندن 2012، بعد عدوله عن قرار اعتزاله المعلن في نهاية
نوفمبر الماضي في نيويورك عقب إصابته في ركبته.
يذكر أن جبريسيلاسي أحرز لقبين اولمبيين في 1996 و2000، بالإضافة إلى
أربع ألقاب في بطولة العالم أعوام 93 و95 و97 و99 في سباق 10 آلاف متر، كما
يحمل الرقم القياسي العالمي لسباق الماراتون وهو 2.03.59 ساعة، وقد حققه
في برلين عام 2008.
وسيخوض العداء الإثيوبي سباق 10 آلاف متر في برمنغهام الشهر المقبل قبل
اتخاذ قرار سباقات الماراثون في دورة الألعاب الاولمبية بلندن.
