1. امنع الرائحة الكريهة. استعمل الجوارب دائما.

الجوارب ليست إكسسوارات بل ضرورة مع الأحذية لأنها تمتصّ العرق
وتمنع تراكمها بين الأصابع. ولكن هذا لا يعني بأنها الحل،
فيجب أن تغير الجوارب على الأقل مرتان في اليوم.
2. وجدت الصنادل لتريح الأقدام من الضغط المستمر من الأحذية.
استعملها خلال المواسم الأكثر دفئا أو استعمل جوارب قطنية تسمح بمرور الهواء داخل القدم.
وهذا يعني أن تخلع الحذاء إذا أمكن خلال النهار لتهوية القدمين.
3. تصبح الأقدام نتنة لأنها تعرّق. تظهر روائح العرق بسبب محاولة البكتيريا تنظيف العرق عن الجسم.
وأفضل طريق لمعالجة الأقدام النتنة هي نقعها كلّ بضعة أيّام في حوض يحتوي على القليل من المادة المبيضة
(جزء إلى خمسة أجزاء من الماء). تقتل المادة المبيضة البكتيريا ولا تؤذي الجلد.
4. تأكد من رش الأحذية بمادة تقضي على البكتريا، مع تهويتها بشكل جيد في الهواء الطلق وتحت الشمس.

وصفات لعلاج رائحة القدمين
يحتوى الشاى على حامض التنيك وهى مادة طبيعية قابضة للأنسجة الحية،
وتساعد الإنسان على التخلص من رائحة القدم الكريهة لتراكم العرق.
يتم غلى الشاى بعد إضافته للماء فوق النار لمدة 15 دقيقة ثم يُصب مشروب الشاى فى حوض الاستحمام الملىء بالماء البارد.
توضع القدم يومياً لمدة أسبوع أو عشرة أيام متوالية لمدة 30 دقيقة، وستجد اختفاء رائحة القدم.

هذا العشب العطرى يغطى على الرائحة الكريهة برائحته الفواحة.
يُنثر العشب الجاف فى الحذاء ويُترك لامتصاص أية روائح متراكمة فيه من كثرة ارتدائه وتعرض القدم للعرق.
