وقد أنزعج مدرب رانجرز والتر سميث ومساعده ماكويست من تصريحات بوقرة، وأكدا أنهما لا يعلمان أن الإدارة قد عرضت على الدولي الجزائري تمديد عقده لعامين. من جهته أكد ما كويست أنه سيتحدث مع "بوغي" من أجل استضاح الأمور وسماعه بخصوص ما تردد.
