نبكي طول الليل وحدي نتألــــــــــــــم .......ما نلقاش اشكون على قلبي يحنان
فاض الدمع و زاد قلبي راه أتــــــــحم ....و الحمى فالقلب نار بلا دخــــــــان
ما يعبى لي حدّ راني متلجــــــــــــــــّم......بالحشمة و الديــــن و نخاف الديّان
و تشتت وردي ورايا و لقـــــــــــــدام ....و يبست حتّى شجرتي ذبلوا لغصان
و راها سمايا غيمت زاد المرســــــــم.....أبقى غير أطلال فات عليه زْمَـــــان
كنّا فيه و كان بينا متنعــــــّـــــــــــــــم....و كي تفارقنا ما بقى له بينا شـــــان
و أحظى كيفي غير باكي متنــــــــــدّم .....و حاله ماشي شور اللّحدّ و لكفان
و لونه راه أبهات يهدر متلعثّــــــــــــم.....و أرشى زاد أرشات له قاع الحيطان
و راني كيف الفعل منصوب و تجزم....و زيد أنا معلول كيما ثاني ( كان)
مبني للمجهول جاهل يتبــــــــــــــرّم ....و الفاعل يسهال له قول البهـــــــتان
و كي يصبح معلوم محال يتعلّـــــــم ......و تقسى فيه فهامته ثاني تخشــــان
كي لغة لخشب كذابة تظـــــــــلـــــم......و بلا ساس اللاّ أتعلي فالبنيـــــان
و السين أبلا عين ميمه تتنــــــــغّم.....و كافه عالي كي أعلى شفت البرهان
و حروفه متناغمة حاه يخمّــــــــم .....ظنيته كي شافني اشتاق للجنـــــــحان
