أعلنت مجموعة "رويال الإمارات عن شراء
نادي "خيتافي" الإسباني، في صفقة تصل قيمتها إلى 90 مليون يورو، أي أكثر من
مائة مليون دولار، وذكرت أنه سيتم تغيير اسم النادي، الذي يلعب في دوري
الدرجة الأولى "الليغا"، إلى نادي "خيتافي تيم دبي."
وقالت المجموعة الإماراتية، المملوكة
للشيخ بطي بن سهيل آل مكتوم، أحد أفراد الأسرة الحاكمة في إمارة دبي، خلال
مؤتمر صحفي الخميس، بحضور رئيس النادي الإسباني، أنخيل توريس
سانشيز، إن "الصفقة تأتي في إطار تطور
العلاقات الرياضية بين الإمارات وإسبانيا."
ونقل بيان لمجموعة "رويال الإمارات"،
عن عضو مجلس الإدارة المنتدب في الشركة الملكية، قيصر
رفيق، قوله إن الهدف من وراء هذه الصفقة "يكمن في دفع خيتافي إلى أعلى
مستويات المنافسة في كرة القدم الأوروبية."
يُذكر أن نادي خيتافي يحتل المركز
الرابع عشر في بطولة الدوري الإسباني، برصيد 37 نقطة من 32 مباراة، بفارق
الأهداف عن فريق "راسينغ سانتاندر"، صاحب المركز 15، وتفصله نقطة وحيدة عن
"ديبورتيفو لاكورونا"، الذي يحتل المركز 13 بـ38 نقطة.
وتُعد هذه الصفقة هي الأحدث ضمن سلسلة
صفقات عُقدت مؤخراً، قام مستثمرون عرب بشراء أندية أوروبية، من بينها
"مانشستر سيتي" و"بورتسموث" الإنجليزيان، و"ملقا" الإسباني.
وكان الشيخ منصور بن زايد آل نهيان، أحد
أبناء أول رئيس لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وأحد أفراد الأسرة
الحاكمة في إمارة أبوظبي، قد قام بشراء حصة الأغلبية في "مانشستر سيتي" عام
2008، مقابل حوالي 210 ملايين جنيه إسترليني، نحو 348 مليون دولار.
وفي أكتوبر من عام 2009،
قام رجل الأعمال السعودي علي الفرج، بشراء نادي "بورتسموث" الإنجليزي من
رجل الأعمال الإماراتي، سليمان الفهيم، حيث لم يستطع الأخير الإنفاق على
النادي، مما اضطره إلى بيعه.
وقال الفرج، في تصريحات له آنذاك، إنه
لا يعرف شيئاً عن الرياضة، وأنه قد يبيع النادي بعد ستة شهور إذا استطاع
تحقيق ربح من بيعه.
