أشارت تقارير صحافية إلى أن القطري محمد بن همام، رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة
القدم، قرر الانسحاب من سباق رئاسة الاتحاد الدولي للعبة ذاتها "الفيفا"
أمام السويسري سيب بلاتر الرئيس الحالي.
و قد نقل عن عدة مصادر عربية موثوقة بالاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، إن بن همام قبل
الانسحاب من الانتخابات مقابل تراجع بلاتر عن تصريحاته الإعلامية السابقة
حول سحب ملف مونديال كأس العالم 2022 من الدوحة والإعلان عن تثبيت
المونديال في قطر على أن تمثل السنوات الاربعة المقبلة الولاية الاخيرة
لبلاتر للجلوس على كرسي رئاسة أكبر الاتحادات القارية بالعالم.
و وصفت "الصفقة السرية" بأنها تنص على انسحاب بن همام من
سباق "الفيفا" مقابل عدم قيام بلاتر بالمضي في خطواته نحو سحب تنظيم
مونديال 2022 من قطر.
وكان الصحافي الاسترالي جيوف ليمون قد أكد في وقت سابق امتلاكه أدلة
رسمية تؤكد نية بلاتر نقل مونديال 2022 من قطر الى أستراليا رداً على قيام
بن همام بالترشح لمنافسته على رئاسة الفيفا في الانتخابات القادمة في شهر جوان المقبل.
وكان حصول قطر على شرف تنظيم المونديال ينص على عدم ترشح بن همام
لرئاسة "الفيفا" أمام بلاتر، حسب تأكيد الصحافي الأسترالي.
و وفقاً لذات المصادر فإنه من المحتمل أن يتم الإعلان عن انسحاب بن
همام في الأسابيع القليلة المقبلة لاسيما أن رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي قد فتح
قنوات اتصال مباشرة مع المسؤولين في بلاده من أجل إتمام هذه الخطوة.
وذكرت "فرانس بريس" أن رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا)
السويسري جوزيف بلاتر أكد لمسؤول كروي كبير أن القطري محمد بن همام رئيس
الاتحاد الآسيوي قد ينسحب من سباق رئاسة.
وذكرت وكالة الصحافة الفرنسية نقلاً عن مصدر أن بلاتر يملك رسالة من
مسؤولين قطريين كبار يؤكدون فيها ذلك, وقال: "كشف بلاتر للمسؤول الكروي
الكبير عن وجود رسالة من مسؤولين قطريين كبار في حوزته تؤكد له هذا الأمر,
أي إمكانية انسحاب بن همام من انتخابات الفيفا".
وكان بن همام أعلن ترشحه لرئاسة الاتحاد الدولي في كوالالمبور ضد
بلاتر بالذات, علماً أن الانتخابات مقررة في الاول من جوان المقبل
في زيوريخ على هامش الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد الدولي.
