نصائح طبية لمرضى السكري تساعدهم في تجنب تقرحات القدم


خلصت دراسة جديدة إلى أن عدداً كبيراً من مرضى السكري من النوع الثاني يفشلون في الاهتمام بصحة أقدامهم رغم كونهم على يقين تام بالخطوات التي ينبغي اتباعها لتفادي التقرح أو تأخيره.

ويعد التقرح في أقدام مرضى السكري من النوع الثاني خطير جدا، ولكن إذا اهتم المريض كثيرا بصحة قدميه وبنوعية أحذيته, فهو يؤخر بذلك مشكلة التقرح التي تؤدي أحيانا إلى التهاب تليه غرغرينا توجب بتر أصابع القدم.

وبحسب دراسة أُجريت في عدد من الدول الإفريقية وعُرضت نتائجها في اجتماع الرابطة الأمريكية للغدد الصماء السريرية في سان دييغو, فإن معظم مرضى السكري لا يستخدمون الأحذية المناسبة لحالاتهم مع العلم بأن نحو تسعين في المئة من المشاركين في الدراسة على علم بضرورة ارتداء الحذاء المناسب، ونحو خمسة وثمانين في المئة يهتمون بنظافة أقدامهم ويبقونها جافة، ويقوم نحو 50 بالمئة منهم بالفحص الروتيني لأقدامهم.

وعلى الرغم من تلك الاحتياطات لاحظ الباحثون أن نحو ستة وخمسين في المئة من هؤلاء المرضى يسيرون حفاة في المنزل، وبل يقوم نحو خمسة عشرة بالمئة منهم بذلك خارج المنزل أيضا.

وفي المرحلة الثانية من الدراسة قيّم الباحثون نوعية أحذية المشاركين في الدراسة من مرضى السكري, واكتشفوا أن ثمانية وستين في المئة منهم يرتدون أحذية غير مناسبة، فهم يرتدون، أحذية مروّسة أو أحذية بكعب عال.
وينصح الخبراء مرضى السكري بتجنب شراء أحذية ذات رؤوس مقوسة أو أحذية مسطحة جدا أو ذات كعب عال, لأن النوعين لا يوزعان ضغط القدم بطريقة متساوية.

وبدلا من ذلك عليهم شراء أحذية ذات نعال باطنها لين وأقمشتها تسمح بدخول الهواء إلى القدم وأحذية لها أربطة تمسك القدم في الحذاء.
