الهنود الحمر يحتجون بعد مقتل بن لادن


أعرب ممثلو الهنود الحمر بالولايات المتحدة عن استيائهم من استعمال اسم ''جيرونيمو''، أحد رموز السكان الأصليين، كاسم لبن لادن خلال العملية التي أدت إلى مقتله بباكستان.
قال جيفرسون كيل، رئيس المؤتمر الوطني للهنود الحمر الأمريكيين، أكبر تنظيم يمثل الهنود الحمر ''إشراك اسم هذا القائد الكبير لبن لادن، يقلل من تضحيات أبناء الهنود الحمر في صفوف الجيش الأمريكي عبر أصقاع العالم''. وقالت تنظيمات أخرى إن إطلاق اسم قائد ثورة الهنود الحمر في القرن التاسع عاشر، سيترك آثارا وخيمة في تفكير الأطفال من الهنود الحمر وغيرهم. وقالت ممثلة لجنة شؤون الهنود الحمر في مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي، لوريتا توال، إن اللجنة ستقدم تظلما رسميا بإشراك اسم ''جيرونيمو'' مع العدو الأول للولايات المتحدة. للإشارة فإن ''جيرونيمو'' قاد ثورة ضد البيض، وعرف بدهائه العسكري ويعد أهم رموز الهنود الحمر.
وكان العالم قد اكتشف أن اسم هذا الثوري من السكان الأصليين، قد أطلق على بن لادن، حين اتصل قائد القوات الخاصة التي أنزلت بباكستان بغرفة المتابعة بالبيت الأبيض، أين كان يتابع أوباما العملية على المباشر، وقال ''جيرونيمو قتل أثناء القتال''.
