شكك، أيمن فايد، المستشار الإعلامي السابق لزعيم ''القاعدة''، في مدى صحة الصور التي بثتها المخابرات الأمريكية بخصوص القضاء على أسامة بن لادن، مؤكدا أن خبر مقتل هذا الأخير عارٍ تمامًا من الصحة، كما أن الصورة التي سربتها وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية هي صورة غير حقيقية تم فبركتها ولا علاقة لها به.
وأضاف فايد، أنه من الوهلة الأولى التي شاهد فيها الصورة، تأكد أنها لشخص شبيه بأسامة بن لادن وليس هو، لأن الصورة تظهر فيها تجاعيد للوجه غير التجاعيد التي رآها في وجه بن لادن، بالإضافة إلى شعر الرأس الذي ظهر أسود اللون بينما شعره أبيض، كما أن حجم الجسد الذي ظهر بالصورة يختلف تمامًا عن حجم جسد الرجل الذي ظل ملاحقًا من قبل الأمريكيين لأكثر من عشر سنوات.
وأكد المستشار الإعلامي السابق أن القوات الأمريكية تمكنت بالفعل من قتل أو اعتقال بن لادن بعد اجتياح أفغانستان في أواخر عام 2001 بثلاثة أشهر تقريبا وسربت المخابرات الفرنسية حينها خبر استهدافه ومقتله ونقله إلى الولايات المتحدة، موضحا أنه منذ ذلك التاريخ انقطعت الصلة بينه وبين بن لادن، وتأكد أعضاء ''القاعدة'' المقربون منه أن الشيخ أبو عبد الله أسامة بن لادن بات في قبضة الأمريكيين حيا كان أو ميتا، وأنه ليس له أي وجود في أفغانستان أو باكستان.
وقال إن المخابرات الأمريكية تكتمت على خبر مقتل بن لادن وقامت ببث صور وتسجيلات مصورة مفبركة وقامت بنسبها له لتخلق لنفسها ذريعة احتلال أفغانستان والبقاء بمنطقة الشرق الأوسط ولتجعل ''القاعدة'' وسيلتها في استهداف الدول، والتدخل في شؤونها، تحت زعم محاربة ''القاعدة'' وهو ما حدث في العراق.
ورأى المستشار الإعلامي لزعيم ''القاعدة'' أن الولايات المتحدة لجأت إلى الإعلان عن مقتل بن لادن أخيرا، لأنها وجدت الأنظمة العربية التي تحاربها حاليا مثل نظام الزعيم الليبي معمر القذافي والسوري بشار الأسد تتذرع ببقائها في السلطة بحجة محاربة ''القاعدة''، وهي نفس الذريعة التي كانت تستند إليها الولايات المتحدة في إطار ما كانت تسميه ''الحرب على الإرهاب'' من أجل التدخل في شؤون الدول، وتابع في ذات الإطار مشيرا إلى أن الولايات المتحدة قررت الإعلان عن مقتل بن لادن حتى لا يستغل هذا الأمر كذريعة من جانب تلك الأنظمة ولتقنع شعوب هذه الدول بأن ''القاعدة'' انتهت بانتهاء زعيمها، وبالتالي فالولايات المتحدة تحرض الشعوب على الثورة ضد الأنظمة التي رأت أنها أصبحت ورقة بائدة وباتت تشكل خطرا عليها.
