تعيش الشابة الجزائرية "نبيلة" –24 عاما- حالة فريدة من نوعها عجز الأطباء عن فهمها؛ حيث تنام 7 أشهر متواصلة دون أن تأكل أو تقضي حاجتها، وتستيقظ لمدة 3 أيام فقط دون اتصال بالعالم الخارجي، وبعدها تعود إلى سباتها مرة أخرى.
وذكر تقرير MBC في أسبوع الخميس 5 مايو/أيار 2011م، أن الفتاة "نبيلة" تقضي حياتها في غرفة مظلمة في سبات عميق يلفه الغموض والدهشة؛ لتمثل حالتها نموذجا من تداخل الحقيقة بالخيال، فنبيلة ممددة على الفراش منذ 3 سنوات، وتدخل في نوم عميق لمدة 7 أشهر، وتستيقظ منه لمدة 3 أيام، وبعدها تعود لحالتها مرة أخرى.
وأكدت والدة "نبيلة" أن ابنتها لا تهتم بالطعام إطلاقا؛ لكنها مع ذلك تحاول إطعامها ومساعدتها على قضاء حاجتها وهي نائمة، والمثير في الأمر أن نبيلة لم تتكلم منذ 13 عاما عندما انزوت فجأة عن أفراد عائلتها رافضة الاحتكاك بالعالم الخارجي.
وأشارت والدة "نبيلة" إلى أنها فوجئت بأن نوم ابنتها العميق يستمر لأشهر طويلة، دون أن تأكل ولا تتكلم مع أحد من أسرتها؛ التي لم تتمكن من معرفة السبب أو ما الألم الذي تشعر به، لكنها في بعض الأحيان تشعر بالألم في رأسها.
وعجز الأطباء عن تفسير الظاهرة لكنهم يقولون إن حالتها وراثية؛ لأن والدتها كانت غير طبيعية منذ الشهر الثاني الذي لازمها بصراخ مستمر حتى بلوغها سن العاشرة، مؤكدين أن قصة "نبيلة" مرتبطة بجدتها التي توفيت وهي نائمة لمدة 3 أشهر متتالية.
وأوضح الدكتور "فاضل علي" أن حالة "نبيلة" قد تكون بسبب خلل في الجهاز العصبي، وخاصة مركز النوم في المخ؛ لأنه علميا لا يستطيع الإنسان أن ينام أكثر من 48 ساعة دون أن يأكل أو يشرب؛ لأن الجسم يتطلب الغذاء والماء وعدم حصوله عليهما يسبب المرض.
