‬75٪ من الجزائريين المصابين بتعفن الأسنان يموتون جراء المضاعفات

أعلن البروفيسور الجزائري عبد القادر فرجاوي، المتخصص في جراحة الفك والوجه والتقويم والتجميل أن نحو ‬75٪ من الجزائريين المصابين بتعفن الأسنان، يموتون بسبب هذه المضاعفات.

ونقلت إذاعة الجزائر الرسمية أمس عن فرجاوي قوله: (إن هذه النسبة تمثل ‬3 من كل ‬4 حالات وفاة بسبب الإصابة بمضاعفات هذا التعفن، حيث لا يمكن معالجتها بصفة استعجاليه، لأن هذه المضاعفات تهاجم مباشرة عضوين حساسين جدا في الجسم هما الرئتين والقلب).

وعزا فرجاوي حدوث هذه المضاعفات الخطيرة إلى عوامل عدة أخطرها، عدم التقيد في مراحل مختلفة من عمر المصاب بشروط الوقاية من حيث الاغتسال والاعتناء الدائم والمتواصل بالأسنان، ومرض التسوس غير المعالج بشكل جيد وفي الوقت المناسب، وغياب وعدم اتباع ثقافة غذاء جيدة وتقدم السن.
