عشرة قتلى بزلزال جنوبي إسبانيا

قال مكتب رئيس الوزراء الإسباني خوسيه لويس ثاباتيرو إن عشرة أشخاص قتلوا في زلزال بقوة 5.3 درجات ضرب مدينة لوركا جنوب شرقي البلاد.
وتسبب الزلزال في انهيار منازل وألحق أضرارا بكنائس ومستشفى ودار للرعاية ومبان عامة، وأحدث هزات في جميع أرجاء إقليم مورسيا الذي تقع موركا في محيطه.
وقال مراسلون صحفيون في مدريد إن الزلزال تسبب في حالة من الذعر بالمدينة، وأن السكان خرجوا إلى الشوارع خوفا من وقوع هزات مماثلة.
وأضاف المراسلون أن فرقا إغاثية وصلت إلى المنطقة للمساعدة في إنقاذ الضحايا.
في حين أكد ممثل الحكومة المركزية في مورسيا أن معظم القتلى سقطوا بسبب انهيارات أسقف وتساقط حطام المنازل.
وشهدت لوركا التي يبلغ عدد سكانها مائة ألف نسمة زلزالا بلغت قوته 4.7 درجات على مقياس ريختر عام 2005، ألحق دمارا بنحو ألف منزل.
