مكتب للاتحاد الأوروبي في بنغازي لدعم المجلس الوطني الانتقالي

قالت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية بالاتحاد الاوروبي اليوم الاربعاء إن الاتحاد يعتزم فتح مكتب في مدينة بنغازي الليبية التي يسيطر عليها المعارضون لتسهيل وصول المساعدات الى المجلس الوطني الانتقالي الذي يمثل المعارضة.

وقالت كاثرين اشتون أمام البرلمان الاوروبي "أعتزم فتح مكتب في بنغازي حتى يتسنى لنا تقديم الدعم الذي تحدثنا عنه الى الشعب... لدعم المجتمع المدني ودعم المجلس الوطني الانتقالي المؤقت."

وأضافت أن الدعم الاوروبي سيشمل المساعدة في اصلاح القطاع الامني وبناء المؤسسات."ونريد ان نساعد في التعليم والرعاية الصحية وأمن الحدود."

ومن جهته رأى مصدر في المجلس الوزاري الأوروبي أن الإعلان عن فتح مكتب للإتحاد الأوروبي في بنغازي، معقل المعارضة الليبية، يعتبر خطوة من أجل تأسيس شكل جديد من العلاقات الأوروبية مع ليبيا الغد، حسب تعبيره

وأوضح المصدر أن إنشاء هذا المكتب هو تعبير عن دعم أوروبا للمعارضة الليبية ضد قوى العقيد معمر القذافي، مشيرا إلى أن المكتب القادم سوف يهتم بطيف واسع من العلاقات مع ليبيا

وأضاف أن المكتب سيهتم بتنفيذ إلتزامات الإتحاد الأوروبي لجهة توفير كافة أشكال الدعم للمعارضة بما يتوافق مع مقررات الأمم المتحدة وكذلك قرارات مجموعة الإتصال الخاصة بشأن ليبيا، "كما أننا سنهتم بتقديم مساعدات للسكان في مجالات الصحة والتربية".
