كشفت شركة مختصة في أمن الإنترنت أنه تم تسريب نحو 100 ألف تطبيق سمحت بالوصول إلى بيانات ومعلومات خاصة بمشتركي موقع التواصل الاجتماعي "فيس بوك"، وذلك عن طريق الصدفة والخطأ على مدى سنوات.
وذكرت شركة "سيمانتك" أن أطرافا ثالثة، ربما تكون شركات إعلانية، نحت في الوصول إلى ملفات المستخدمين المشتركين بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي وصورهم ومحادثاتهم وغيرها من المعلومات والبيانات الشخصية.
وأقرت "فيس بوك" بالحادثة، وقالت: إنه تمت معالجة الموضوع.
غير أنها قالت: إن تقرير "سيمانتك" يتضمن بعض الهفوات والأخطاء، وأن بيانات ومعلومات المشتركين في الموقع لم تتم مشاركتها مع أي طرق ثالث غير مخول بذلك.
وجاء في تقرير "سيمانتك" أنه على مدى سنوات، حصلت مئات الآلاف من التطبيقات على "صك دخول" للبيانات، وهو الأمر الذي وصفته الشركة بأنه نوع من "المفتاح الاحتياطي" لحسابات المشتركين.
وأوضحت سيمانتك أنه لا توجد طريقة جيدة لتقدير عدد "صكوك الدخول"؛ التي تسربت إلى الأطراف الثالثة.
ولحسن الحظ، قالت "سيمانتك": إن مطوري معظم التطبيقات ربما لم يدركوا أن لديهم هذه "الصكوك"، مضيفة أن "فيس بوك" قامت بعمل إصلاحي للمساعدة في الحد من هذا الموضوع، بعد اكتشاف المشكلة والتسرب الشهر الماضي وأحيطت علما بذلك.
وقال ناطق باسم فيس بوك لـCNN في رسالة بالبريد الإلكتروني: إن الموقع يعمل مع "سيمانتك" لمواجهة المشكلة ومعالجتها، مضيفا أنه لم يجر تحقيقا شاملا يظهر طبيعة المعلومات التي وصلت إلى أيدي الطرف الثالث غير المخول بالحصول على مثل تلك المعلومات.
وأشار الناطق باسم "فيس بوك" إلى أن التقرير تجاهل التزامات التعاقدات مع المعلنين والمطورين؛ التي تحظر عليهم الحصول على أي بيانات ومعلومات بطريقة تنتهك سياسات موقع "فيس بوك".
يذكر أن تطبيقات "فيس بوك" عبارة عن تطبيقات للشبكة والإنترنت، التي تعمل عبر منصة موقع "فيس بوك"، الذي يقول: إن المستخدمين يحملون ما يصل إلى 20 مليون تطبيق من على منصته يوميا.
