قرر مساعد وزير العدل لجهاز الكسب غير المشروع حبس سوزان ثابت، قرينة الرئيس المصري المخلوع، حسني مبارك، 15 يوما على ذمة التحقيقات التى أجراها المستشار خالد سليم، عضو لجنة الفحص حول اتهامها بتضخم ثروتها والحصول عليها بطريق غير مشروع، وترحيلها إلى سجن القناطر
واجه الرئيس المصري المخلوع، حسني مبارك، أعضاء لجنة التحقيق لشؤون الكسب غير المشروع قائلا: "أنا لا أملك كل ذلك". وجاء رد فعل مبارك بعد ثلاث ساعات ونصف من التحقيق معه في تهمة استغلال المنصب لجمع الثروة، حيث تحدثت اللجنة أن لمبارك ثروة عقارية ضخمة من القصور والفيلات والشاليهات والشقق الفاخرة، التى تقع بمدن القاهرة الجديدة وشرم الشيخ والقاهرة والغردقة والإسماعيلية والإسكندرية، علاوة على امتلاكه مساحات كبيرة من الأراضى الزراعية في أماكن متفرقة من مصر، فضلا عن امتلاك الرئيس المخلوع 250 مليون جنيه في البنك الأهلي، فرع مصر الجديدة. وشمل التقرير قيام الرئيس المخلوع، مبارك، بإنشاء حساب سرى تابع لمكتبة الإسكندرية الذي يتضمن رصيد 143 مليون دولار كانت مخصصة لتمويل وتطوير المكتبة والتعامل عليه سحبا وإيداعا دون علم مجلس أمناء مكتبة الإسكندرية ومديرها، وهو ما أدى إلى تضخم ثروته بشكل مبالغ فيه. هذا وتجدد حبس مبارك لمدة 15 يوما على ذمة التحقيقات التى جرت معه داخل مستشفى شرم الشيخ الدولي، من جهة ثانية، قرر المستشار عاصم الجوهري، مساعد وزير العدل لجهاز الكسب غير المشروع، حبس سوزان ثابت، قرينة الرئيس السابق محمد حسني مبارك 15 يوما على ذمة التحقيقات التى أجراها المستشار خالد سليم، عضو لجنة الفحص حول اتهامها بتضخم ثروتها والحصول عليها بطريق غير مشروع، وتقرر ترحيلها إلى سجن القناطر.
