غاب الزعيم الليبي معمر القذافي مطولا عن المشهد الإعلامي، ليعود وقد أدار ظهره لكل ما يحدث في ليبيا من صراع يتكبد آلامه أزيد من 5 مليون ليبي يجهلون مصير وطنهم في ظل تعنت القذافي ومراوغات المعارضة التي تقول إنها عقدت العزم على الإطاحة به متجاهلا الدعوات الدولية المتواترة التي تطالبه بالتنحي، ظل القذافي صامتا وعندما تحدث تجاهلت مشاعره خبر وفاة، نجله فلم ينعه في كلمته الصوتية كما كان متوقعا، ويبدو أن حديث إيطاليا الأخير عن هروبه وإصابته، قد أربكه إلى درجة الاستفزاز ليخرج القذافي بخطاب صوتي أشار فيه إلى أنه في مكان لا يستطيع "الجن الأزرق" أن يتبع خطاه.
وإذا كان الزعماء الذين تمت الإطاحة بهم من قبله لجأوا إلى المراوغة في اختيار أماكن بين الأنفاق والمغارات ودهاليز القصور للاختباء عن عدسات الكاميرات وقصف القوات الدولية، فإن القذافي أثار تحديا من نوع آخر، ليس فقط للمعارضة، بل لكل من يتابع مسيرة سقوطه، ويجمع المراقبون على أن القذافي لن يكون أبدا سهل القناص، وأنه سيجد بدل المكان سبعة أماكن ليختبئ فيها، وإن بات حديثه الأخير عن أن قلوب الشعب الليبي هي ملجأه أضحى أمرا أبعد من الخيال، في وقت تعززت فكرة أن الشعب الليبي لم يعد يحن حتى إلى جنونه المسلي، غير أن القذافي ربما يواصل نهجه في مراوغة الغرب وسيظل يحتمي بباب العزيزية، كما فعل الإيفواري غباغبو قبل أن يتم القبض عليه بتهمة عشق القصر وبملابس النوم، إلا أن هناك أراء أقوى تقود نحو احتمال أن يختبئ القذافي في أحد البيوت القديمة المهملة، أو أن يكون فعلا قد غادر ليبيا نحو غابات إفريقيا وهو المعروف بهوسه الشديد باللون الأخضر.
وتبقى فرضية أن يلجأ القذافي للاحتماء داخل كهوف وإن عز تواجدها في ليبيا ذات الطابع الصحراوي، خيارا استراتيجيا قبل أن ينسج دعاة المرح رواية لاختباء القذافي تحدثت على أنه سيلجأ إلى رواية من وصفه يوما بأنه زعيم سلاحف النينجا ويلجأ القذافي للاختباء في دهاليز المجاري أو النهر الصناعي العظيم.
